Small Town Love

She's back!

First off I'm writing this one May 4th so I must say May The "Fourth" Be With You!! (I'm sorry I love puns) and secondly this chapter is still in Ryan's POV. 

After all of Cj's complications and surgeries she had to stay at the hospital longer than expected. I missed her a lot, I could only see her on the weekends because of school. She's been in the hospital for about three weeks now and she, and everyone has become  ised to her being there, it's almost become like her second home. She has about another week and then me and her mom are going to go get her and take her home, her real home.

This last week seemed to go by extremely slow but, Cj was finally released from the hospital today. After we picked her up, us two sat in the back seat of her mom's truck. She seemed so small, she was weak and had lost a lot of weight. She just didn't seem like her self anymore. She was quite, tiered and she just seemed different. She had gotten cold before we left and now she was wearing my sweatshirt, even though hers was in the backseat with us. Ok so maybe she wasn't so different.

 As we sat in silence she looked over at me. "What?" I said letting out a laugh. "Wanna know somthin'?" I could tell she was tired because ,for som reason, when she gets tired he country  accent really comes out. I looked over at and nodded my head up. "Chemo sucks!" She exclaimed. Me and her mom busted up laughing. "No! No, don't laugh I'm serious!" She yelled trying to sound upset although she was giggling too. "And why is that?" Her mom asked looking at us  through the rear view mirror. "Because," Cj began sounding very serious, "for one I had to lose my hair, two I'm freakin tired as crap, three I smell like hospital, four I've been living in a hospital for a month, five............ well now the rest isn't so much about chemo just hospitals. Did you know that doctors don't know what sarcasm is? Yea they don't! It's crazy! And they don't appreciate my puns and movie references! They are all too serious!" As she went on her little rant me and her mom were trying our best not to laugh. "You can laugh now I'm done." She looked at me and erupted with laughter. I hugged her the best I could being buckled up. "This is why I love you!" I said as we all sat their giggling. My Cj was back!

When we got back to our town it was only 2:00. "Do you want to go to my house?" I asked. She looked at her asking for permission and she nodded. "Sure!" Cj said. It had been awhile since she came over to my house. Her mom drove to my house and dropped us off. When we walked in my whole family immediately ran up to her and engulfed her in a hug pushing me aside. "Nice to see y'all too." I said rolling my eyes which a chuckle. My mom turned around ruffled my hair and pulled me into the group hug. "Oh hun, we missed you too!" She said in a mocking voice. 

After everyone  caught up with Cj me and he decided to go for a walk out side. I lived on a small ranch so I had plenty of land. Before we set off Cj was getting her shoes on and I looked over at her. How could I be so stupid? She has an air tank! How is she going to be able to walk around on an unmarked path with it. She must've noticed my  staring. "I can carry it like a back pack, see?" She said as she turned it around reviling two straps. "Are you sure?" I asked still worried, she just nodded. As we walked out the door she stopped picked up the tank and put it on her back and we were off.

She's back. My Cj was finally back with me.
