(Okay now Lafayette and Hercules are starting to sound like Laurens's guardian angels. When you're so tired it kill ya)

It took Laurens a long time until his leg was fully healed, he started running around happily. Hercules watched him from above a tree, Lafayette was polishing his gun. He stopped and looked down at a butterfly, tilting his head slightly. He gently caught it, not sure what to do with it now. He decided to let it go, but it stayed on his hand, crawling.

"It's so pretty..." he smiled.

"I'm going to get more bullets, I'll be back." Lafayette said, standing up and now walking away.

"Okay!" Laurens said, the butterfly flying away. Jefferson walked up to him, having that evil smirk that always bugged Hamilton. Madison right beside him.

"Why if it isn't John Laurens. So, heard you got shot in the knee." Jefferson snickered. Madison, just kept a straight face. Quiet as usual. Hercules glared at them, spying.

"Ah, Mr. Jefferson. Why yes, I did. It's fully healed, now. I can return back in battle, fight for our land." Laurens said, his happy and cheerful mode was kept to a flat line.

"Next time, you might just get shot in the head." Jefferson said.

"Aren't you going too extreme, sir?" Madison asked him.

"Too extreme? I am?" Jefferson looked at Madison.

"I might get shot in the head, but at least I will have died knowing I helped our land." Laurens said.

"And what if Lafayette gets shot?" Jefferson asked. Laurens stared at him, eyes widening a bit.

"Too extreme." Madison sighed, looking away. He wished he wasn't here right now.

"Well..." Laurens looked away, contemplating.

"Or Hercules? What about him?" Hercules was about to jump out of the tree.

"Bye, sir. See you at the tent, I want no part of this." Madison walked away. Laurens looked back at him, what if they did get shot? He had a look of horror on his face.

"I... I... I'd try my best to take a bullet for them... if t-they died... I... I..." Hercules jumped out of the tree, now walking over and standing in front of Jefferson, Laurens now behind Hercules.

"Any last words before you regret it?" Hercules got up close to his face.

"Ah, so you were overhearing." Jefferson's smile faded.

"How could I not?" Hercules said in a threatening tone.

"I-It's fine..." Laurens tugged on Hercules's sleeve.

"Not fine to me. Listen, bitch, do you know how hard it is to stay optimistic in a time like this? Then you just shut this poor boy down?" Hercules snapped at him, growling.

"What's going on?" Lafayette came back out, glancing.

"Leaving. We're leaving." Hercules said. Lafayette quickly walked over, looking at Jefferson, which kept having that creepy smile, silence. That gave chills down Laurens's spine. Lafayette led him away without questioning what even happened, he could obviously tell something was bugging Laurens non-stop. Hercules stepped back, brutally with all of his strength, kicked Jefferson right in the crotch. Jefferson yelped, kneeling on the ground, that surely wiped that smile off of his face. Hercules stormed off after them.

"Laurens, what happened, what did he do?" Lafayette asked him with worry. Everyone knew Jefferson was merciless, but not like this... what the hell was his problem... and that's exactly what Madison was thinking, too.

"It's... nothing..." Laurens said quietly.

"Oh, it's something. Mon amour, you can tell me anything, he won't hurt you, I won't let him." Lafayette brought him closer to him.

"Well, he just hurt him mentally, so." Hercules said, catching up. Laurens looked at the ground, knowing he had two, great friends that no one could ever replace. Special, it's rare to find someone like that.

"What if you two died and got shot...?" he whispered.

"Ah, so that's what his problem was about?" Lafayette snapped, growling.

"Why, he's going to get shot if he talks to you again." he said.

"We'll pull through, Laurens. Don't worry about us, we'll be fine, okay?" Hercules said in a soothing tone, trying to comfort Laurens.

"Yeah, don't even worry, mon amour. We live to fight, and we'll fight to live." Lafayette said, still guiding Laurens.
