Laurens tried to focus, aiming right for the target, shooting. He lacked speed, he lacked ability, he lacked aim, he lacked mostly everything.

"Laurens, speed it up!!" Hamilton yelled, shooting. Laurens's hands trembled, trying to shoot, still.

"You think this war isn't pressure enough?!" Burr yelled at Hamilton, shooting, too. Hercules glanced around, too many soldiers this time. He shot as many as he could.

"They don't give up, do they??" Hamilton sighed, kept shooting.

"Obviously not; or else we wouldn't be in this situation." Hercules said. Laurens missed, three bullets wasted.

"Oh, yeah, no offense, Laurens, but if you could stop wasting bullets, that w-" Hamilton got interrupted by him.

"I'M TRYING!!!!" Laurens snapped, shooting like mad now. Not a single miss. Head-shots. Hamilton gulped, keeping his mouth shut. You didn't have to look at Laurens, you could feel the rage inside him.

"Hmm... guess you can shut up now, huh?" Burr snickered. Hamilton growled, rolling his eyes. Madison-- actually joining the fight--- was using a shot gun, high up in a tree. Laurens ran out of bullets, running for cover to refill his gun with more ammo.

"How did you run out already-" Hamilton got interrupted, again.

"Hamilton, focus on. The. Target." Burr snapped. Hamilton tried to hold his rage back, shooting the targets with more force and speed. As soon as Laurens refilled his gun, he was back out on the battlefield.

"They're getting awfully close..." Burr said, stepping back and shooting still.

"What, too close for your comfort?" Hamilton said.

"Goddammit, you never learn to shut up, do you?!" Burr shouted.

Boom.

Laurens's eyes widened, silent.

"..........." he stood there for a while, coughing up blood. Blood started to run down his mouth. He fell on his knees on the ground, being shot in the chest. Hercules looked over, hearing his pain.

"........" his eyes widened, without thinking, running over to him.

"Oh no, no, no, no, no, no.... not you, too." he fell on his knees, too.

"Hercules, uh, it'd be nice if you came back!!!" no one was aware of what was happening. Laurens suddenly smiled, looking at Hercules while smiling. They both had tears rolling down their cheeks. Hercules had the same expression as Laurens when he read that letter.

"G-God, n-no-" he picked Laurens up gently yet quick, standing up now.

"I-I'm not letting you die!!" he started to sprint away from the battlefield.

"GODDAMMIT MULLIGAN!!" Hamilton shouted.

"HAMILTON, FOCUS ON THE BATTLEFIELD!!!" Burr and Hamilton kept arguing.

"W-Why are you smiling...?!" Hercules didn't understand, tears kept rolling down his cheeks.

"Thank you... for being my best friend..." More blood kept coming out of Laurens mouth, he wrapped his arms around his neck.

"I-I love you, goddammit!!! I love you!!! S-So much!!" Hercules dashed into the paramedics tent, the paramedic was awfully surprised.

"Please, help him, at least do something!!" he begged.

"Hercules... please... go b-back out on the battlefield... f-fight for our land... n-never stop fighting..." Laurens told him. The paramedic took Laurens and placed him on the operating bed.

"Come here...." Laurens whispered. Hercules immediately ran over. Laurens grabbed Hercules's hand and intertwined.

"............ keep going on...." Laurens smiled, letting go. Hercules ran out quick, the sooner he left, the sooner they could operate on him...

"DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR SHOT!!!!!" Laurens screamed.
