Sam was more silent, depressed. He sighed, staring at the ground. Laurens frowned. It wasn't his fault!

"Hey, it's not your fault, Sam... don't listen to Burr. You'll be okay, you're alright."

"But-..."

"Keep your head up high, you'll go far, kid. Don't back down or give up. Life is war. You keep on fighting and never give up..." he picked Sam up, carefully. He held him in his arms. Sam teared up, clinging to Laurens.

"There's a place I used to go that always made me feel better. My best friend always brought me there. His name is Hercules. He's still here, but I doubt he'll hurt you. He still is in love with me."

"Is he... your... boyfriend...?" Sam asked. Laurens blushed, smiling wide. He couldn't help but to laugh.

"Oh no, no he wishes. I'm married to someone else. Heh, poor Hercules."

"Who are you married to...?" Laurens looked at him, he was so motherly-like. You could say he was like his mother figure, now.

"Ah, my dork. My French dork. He's the one who brought you here." Lafayette smiled.

"L-Lafayette...?"

"Yeah, that's him." "But you're both-... nevermind." Laurens walked into the flower field, where Hercules was making a rose flower crown.

"I could sell these for money, hah." he said to himself, smiling.

"I-I... remember him..." Sam whispered, now scared. Laurens set him in the flowers, smiling. Sam looked around, the flowers were as tall as him. He got on his knees, now smiling.

"Heheh..." he giggled cutely.

"There's animals that roam in these fields, maybe you'll find a bunny or... something." Sam stood back up.

"Hey, Hercules!!" Laurens smiled wide, looking at his 'close' friend. Hercules looked over at him, smiling back.

"Well hey, Laurens! How are you?"

"Ah, good. Burr was threatening us." Laurens confessed.

"Is that so...?" Hercules stopped putting his flower crown together.

"Yeah, I wouldn't try to challenge him, though. He seems too tough."

"Hah, too tough. He wishes. I'll beat him down in a heart beat. Tch." he was now disgusted.

"No, I don't want anything else to happen. He al-" he decided to stop talking, Hercules would definitely try to snap his spine like a twig if he told him Burr threatened to kill Sam.

"He what???" Hercules asked, curious.

"Nothing, nothing." Laurens said, nervously.

"No, I wanna hear." Hercules insisted.

"I bet you do. I just don't want anything else to happen, I'm already worried."

"I'll promise you, he won't lay a finger on you. He even dares to grab you by the wrist, I'll tear out his lungs." Hercules was serious. Laurens smiled, walking over to him. He sat down by him.

"Burr. Burr. Burr." Hercules growled, glaring angrily at the flower crown.

"Woah, hey, calm down. I'm safe, heh." Sam ran around the flower field, laughing and chasing a bunny he found. Hercules lifted his head up, looking around.

"Um, there's a kid here??" he asked, not sure what he heard.

"Oh yeah, heh." the bunny ran past Hercules, Sam ran up to him. His eyes were now filled with fear.

"Oh, it's the British kid, heh... I don't like the British. If Laurens likes you, though, I'll like you. So."

"Umm, not sure if you should you said you didn't like the British." Laurens said. Sam didn't know what to say, he was still terrified.

"Well, what's his name?" Hercules asked.

"His name is Sam." Laurens told him.

"Sam... well hello there, Sam. I won't hurt you." Hercules put the rose flower crown on Sam's head.

"Uh... h-hello..." Sam whispered, shy.

"It's okay, Sam. He's not dangerous. Well, he won't hurt you. Don't worry." Laurens said. Sam nodded rather quickly, still shy. The bunny ran past Hercules again, running into the field. Sam gasped, running after it. Laurens smiled, watching him.

"So, you know what you and Laf are going to do with him? Where he's going to go?" Hercules asked, starting to make another flower crown. Laurens looked at the ground, now.

"O-Oh... yeah..." he frowned.

"I don't know..." Hercules noticed his tone sounded sad, he looked over at him.

"You okay?" he asked, worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Laurens lied.

"You don't seem fine... is it Burr? I swear, he'll never see the light of day again."

"Heh, nah, it's not Burr. Though he does make me worry... he did threaten to kill Sam..." he whispered at the end.

"He wHAT?!" Hercules glared again, about to seriously kill Burr.

"N-No! I shouldn't of said that-" Laurens now regretted that.

"That little-"

"Just, don't do anything to Burr! I don't want anything else to start... all I can do is make sure he doesn't touch any of us, no..." Hercules inhaled, trying to calm down.

"Alright... if he does touch any of you, Lafayette, you, or the kid... he's dead." he said.

"I-..." Laurens didn't know wat to say.

"I just don't want to loose you... lost you once."

"Lost me once...?"

"...." Hercules smiled, a fake smile.

"Nevermind..." he put the now done flower crown on Laurens's head.

"I'll do whatever you think is best... you have my trust, my loyalty, and I shall put my life on the line for you." he said.

"You don't have to sacrifice yourself for me..." Laurens frowned. Hercules grabbed his hands, smiling down at them.

"I do, and will... my dear."

"You still know how to flatter me..." Laurens smiled again, blushing.
