(Help me I am improving slowly help me by slapping some sense into me jfc)
Lafayette strolled around town, quiet uptown. He kicked rocks as he walked past everybody, silent.
"John, are we to speak? First day of the week. Stumbling words at the bar... beauty blue eyes, my order of fries... long island kindness and wine... beloved of John, I get it all wrong... I read you for some kind of poem... covered in lines, the fossils I find... have they no life of their own?" he sang. He stood in the corner of town, contemplating...
Laurens laid in the grass, staring up at the sky. Wondering how it went all wrong. He didn't feel anything right now, it was just. Blank. Hercules laid by him, regretting his actions.
"If history speaks, the kiss on my cheek... where there remains but a mark..." he sang.
"I am a man with a heart that offends, with its lonely and greedy demands..." Hercules sang with him.
"You seem to be down, buddy." Jefferson said, smiling mischievously in front. Lafayette looked up at him.
"What do you want this time, Jefferson?" he asked him. Madison sighed, looking at the engagement rings behind the glass window at the jewelry store.
"I just want to know what's up." Jefferson said.
"None of your business." Lafayette said to him.
"I didn't ask if it was my business. You need help with something, cheater?" Jefferson smirked. Lafayette glared at him, growling.
"I don't need your help with anything." he walked away from him. Jefferson grabbed his arm, dragging him away.
"W-Where are you taking me?! Let go-" Jefferson pushed him in front of the glass window.
"Jesus Christ, sir. He could of went through the window." Madison said, looking at them now.
"Well, he didn't. Aren't they pretty?" Jefferson smirked, trying to make him fall for it.
"What do you mean? What you hinting at?" Lafayette sighed frustrated.
"Engagement rings." Jefferson looked at them.
"........" Lafayette looked at them. Bells... white... forever... hopefully... he stared at them, now getting what Laurens was saying when he was drunk.
".......... why are you doing this?" he asked, now in a more calm but painful tone.
"Wanna win his heart again?" Jefferson asked.
"... I wouldn't use 'win'... I hurt him, there's no way he's going to marry me, you're out of your goddamn mind." Lafayette shook his head. Jefferson forced his hand open and dropped a diamond ring in his hand.
"W-What the-" Lafayette looked at it.
"Just take it." Jefferson said.
"Like I said, I'm not even going to attempt it." Lafayette looked back up at him.
"Did you fucking plan it?!" Jefferson yelled pissed and impatient. Lafayette looked at him, eye wide a little.
"Plan what?!" he shouted back.
"Did you mean to kiss that woman?!" Jefferson growled.
"No, I didn't! I didn't even-..." Lafayette stepped back.
"It's not really cheating, is it?!" Jefferson shouted.
"I-..." Lafayette ran away quick from him, trying to escape.
"Do you have to ruin everyone's life?" Madison face palmed, sighing stressed.
"Why yes, I do." Jefferson walked up to the window, looking inside.
"Everything is so fucked up..." Madison said.
"Maybe I'll buy one for you, Madison." Jefferson snickered.
"In your dreams, sir." Madison walked away.
