Today, Hamilton offered Laurens, Lafayette, and Hercules to visit him at his house.
"So, Philip is a great kid. Kind heart. He's a proud poet..." Hamilton was going on and on about his son. Hercules wasn't paying much attention, he was distracted by his surroundings.
"He gets in trouble at school, people upset him a lot. Of course, he tries to get into fights." Hamilton sighed, shaking his head slightly.
"Anyway, he's excited to see you guys, he said he's honored. Eliza is also full of joy and is delighted to have you guys over." he said.
"It's been a long time since we've seen your wife, Alexander." Lafayette said.
"It has been quiet a while for me, too." Hamilton sighed happily. Laurens was interested in all of this.
"One day, he'll blow us all away..." Hamilton smiled with pride.
"We should go out for shots one day, at the bar. Like we used to!" he looked back at them.
"Oh yeah, those were good times." Laurens said, smiling.
"Yup, they were." Hamilton looked ahead again.
"I still remember our wedding night..." Hamilton said. Laurens felt uncomfortable now, everyone kept quiet. Except for Hamilton, which kept rambling on.
"Yeah...!" Laurens said, speaking up. Lafayette now held his hand, intertwining. He tried to comfort him. Laurens glanced over at their hands. That wedding night. Is when he started to have feelings for Lafayette.
"Yeah... that night was wonderful..." He started to smile again, looking ahead.
"It sure was, Laurens." Hamilton responded.
"How much longer? It feels like we've been walking for days." Hercules stretched, sighing.
"We're almost there. You'd think you would of gotten used to walking so far." Hamilton chuckled.
"Yeah, Hercules. We've traveled to different states before." Laurens said.
"Yeah, but on horse." Hercules said, being salty today.
"True; but still." Laurens shrugged. Some fuckin' time of day they made it.
"Philip! Eliza! I'm back!" Hamilton shouted, smiling. He was happy to return home, finally. Hercules cringed at how he decorated the house, not really his style. Philip jumped down each step of the stairs. Slowly.
"Hiiiii!!!!!" he said, smiling wide. He was nine years old. Eliza was in the kitchen, making dinner.
"Hello, Alexander!" Eliza greeted from the kitchen. Philip finally made it down stairs, smiling wide. He had excitement in his eyes.
"Well aren't you cute!" Laurens smiled.
"Philip, this is Hercules Mulligan." Hamilton started to introduce his friends to his son. Hercules looked over at him, waving and smiling.
"Marquis de Lafayette." Lafayette smiled at the kid.
"And John Laurens." Laurens already started to like Philip.
"H-Hello! Nice to meet you!" Philip said, bowing.
"Alexander, can you help me for a minute?" Eliza said.
"Oh, yes! I'll be back, guys, Philip. Hercules, I need you also. Can you help me with which wine is the best and stronger?" Hamilton asked.
"Why me?" Hercules asked, curious.
"Because, Eliza said we're going to have some wine and you're the best when it comes to alcohol." Hamilton said.
"Well, okay, I guess." Hercules said. Hamilton walked to the kitchen. Hercules followed him. Philip watched them walk away, then looked back at Lafayette and Laurens.
"Hey, can you follow me?" Philip asked, stepping back on the stairs.
"Uh, sure?" Laurens said, tilting his head a bit. Philip nodded, running upstairs. Laurens tilted his head and smiled, following him. Lafayette followed Laurens, not really sure where they're going. Philip opened a door and walked into a room.
"Where are you going, Philip?" Laurens asked, walking into the room.
"My roooom~!" Philip said, smiling wide. Lafayette hummed, almost slipping on one of the steps.
"Oh f-...." he whispered, walking into the room, too. Philip shut the door, locking it.
"Oh no... what'cha doin'...?" Laurens asked, smiling wide, still.
"I'm keeping you." Philip responded.
"Keeping us? For how long?" Laurens wanted to chuckle, but he wasn't quite sure how he felt.
"Forever." Philip kept smiling non-stop.
"Oh, hey, I want to show you something." he walked over to a small piano.
"A piano?" Laurens followed.
"Yeah! I play piano, wanna hear it?" Philip asked.
"Okay!" Laurens smiled again. Philip sat down in a small chair in front of it. Laurens walked beside him. Lafayette thought it was sweet, he watched them. Philip placed his fingers gently on the (fukin keyboards?), thinking of a song he should play. He started to play now.
"Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf..." he sang, smiling.
"Un deux trois quatre... cinq six sept huit neuf..." he played more aggressively now, hitting every key right.
"Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf, un deux trois quantre cinq six sept huit! Cinq six sept huit neuf... Sept huit neuf! Sept huit neuf! Sept huit neuf! Sept huit neuf!" he sang with passion.
"Wow, you're pretty good!" Laurens said, amazed.
"My mother and I love to play together! She says I'm great at piano! She loves it, too." Philip said, proud of himself.
"I see!" Laurens chuckled.
"Want to play with me?" Philip asked.
"Sure!" Laurens said.
"Okay! Come by me and play at the same time I do!" Philip let out a soft, quiet squeal.
"Um, wow, I'll try, heh." Laurens walked beside him, getting on his knees now. Philip placed his fingers, ready. Laurens did the same, on the other side. Philip started to play, so did Laurens.
"Un deux trois quatre... cinq six sept huit neuf... sing with me!" Philip said.
"Okay, okay!" Laurens laughed.
"Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf, un deux trois quantre cinq six sept huit! Cinq six sept huit neuf... Sept huit neuf! Sept huit neuf! Sept huit neuf! Sept huit neuf!" they both sang in harmony.
"One two three four five six seven eight niiiiiine!" Laurens laughed a little.
"Philip, come downstairs for a minute!" Eliza called out.
"Okay, mom! You two go nowhere!" Philip said, getting down off of the chair and ran to the door, unlocking it and locked it before walking out. Laurens stood back up, smiling wide. Lafayette walked behind him and placed his hands on his shoulders, leaning close to his ear.
"You'd be a fantastic parent..." Lafayette whispered.
"A-A parent...?!" Laurens's whole face turned a bright shade of red, his smile fading.
"You're fantastic with children..." Lafayette chuckled.
Laurens gulped, his face only becoming a darker shade of red when he felt Lafayette's hot breath against his ear. He shook his head slightly, trying to snap himself out of his 'kink'. Lafayette now knew. Great, he won't leave his ear alone for the rest of his life, now. He stepped forward, turning around to face Lafayette.
"Uh, I don't know about that..." Laurens said, anxiously.
"It was just a compliment, mon amour! Don't get so flustered about it!" Lafayette chuckled.
