Laurens and Madison were actually becoming great friends. He started to follow Madison around, helping him with errands, too.

"Why do you follow me around?" Madison asked him.

"U-Uh-..." Laurens's eyes sparkled, still amazed he made a new friend.

"Eh... it's not that bad..." Madison smiled. Hercules was reading a letter with blood stains on it out in the empty battlefield, reading it very closely.

"So, what do you do?" Laurens asked.

"What do I... do?" Madison was confused.

"Yeah, like... what do you like to do?" Laurens asked him.

"Oh... well... usually just stay in solitude. I follow Jefferson around, helping him." Madison told him.

"What does Jefferson like to do?" Laurens nodded, absorbing this.

"Complain." Madison chuckled.

"Oh... I see..." Laurens giggled.

"Complains about mostly everything. You could say something was the wrong color. He would complain. It's what he does yet. If you're wrong, he's right. If he's wrong, he's right. If you're right, you're wrong." Madison sighed.

"Sounds a lot like..." Laurens started off.

"Hamilton." they both said at the same time. Hercules's eyes widened, standing up now, slowly. All of his emotions were drained as his hands trembled. He slowly started walking towards Laurens, not taking his eyes off of the blood-stained letter.

"I see why they both don't get along... they both think they're always right..." Laurens said.

"Exactly." Madison smiled.

"Now once Jefferson returns, everything will go to hell for me, again." he joked, chuckling.

"Hahah... I can't wait for Lafayette to come back..." Laurens looked at the ground, smiling.

"L-Laurens..." Hercules said quietly, almost a whisper.

"Hmm?" Laurens looked over at Hercules, all emotions were drained from his face and eyes, his hands trembled badly. There were even tears in his eyes.

"W-What...?" he looked at the letter, which Hercules wanted him to take. Madison waited, watching some birds fly by. He took the blood-stained letter, reading it now.

"I never... I never... got to tell him... he.. he.. was my friend..." Hercules whispered. Laurens kept on reading, it was about Lafayette. It said Marquis de Lafayette did not make it in the war. He was a brave, strong soldier with powerful confidence and determination. The letter on.. and on.. and on... the blood-stains were Lafayette's... the letter seemed to blur the more Laurens read it. His heart beat slower, skipping beats. His eyes widened, tears now rolling down his cheeks.

"No.. n-no way... t-there's no way he... he.. h-..." he couldn't find the words.

"L-Lafayette couldn't o-of died!!!" Laurens said, having a panic attack, now.

"What??" Madison quickly looked at him.

"..........." Hercules kept silent. Laurens's hands trembled, now looking at him with pleading eyes.

"T-Tell me this is some kind of sick joke!!!" he shouted.

"This... I.. I wish I could tell you, that..." Hercules just stared at him, the look on Laurens's face... it was just... broken.

"I... I... I want to go to France..." Laurens accidentally let go of the letter, it blew away in the wind. Madison looked at over at it, quickly walking towards it and grabbing it. He started to read it.

"You... you.. can't go to France, Laurens..." Hercules shook his head a little. Laurens almost stumbled on the ground. Hercules walked closer to him, attempting to hug him.

"It has to be some kind of sick joke..." Laurens stepped back, having a nosebleed, now. The worst nosebleed he's ever had. Hercules wanted to comfort him, but he knew he wouldn't let him. Laurens covered his eyes stepping back more. Hercules quickly took more steps towards him, pulling him close anyway. If he liked it or not. Laurens didn't even know what to do, he hugged Hercules so tight, trembling. Madison finished reading the note, looking at Laurens, now.

"W-Why... w-why did he have to die...?!" Laurens cried out, his throat and heart now starting to hurt.

"H-He didn't deserve to die...!" Laurens cried. Hercules didn't even know what to say, he kept thinking about every single threat and insult he ever said to Lafayette...

"Laurens... I-I'm so sorry... I would trade my life for his if I could..." Hercules kept thinking about every single threat and insult he ever said to Lafayette...

"I-I don't want neither of you to die!! I-It shouldn't of ended this way!!" Laurens cried out, looking up at Hercules with broken eyes. Madison honestly didn't know what to do right now...

"If anything... I would trade my life for both of yours!!" Laurens shouted. Hercules immediately, and was pushy about it, placed his hands roughly on Lauren's cheeks.

"W-We don't want you to die, either!! We would take a bullet for you, too!! I-I'm sure that's exactly what Lafayette did, too!!" Hercules said a bit harshly, a bit of a growl. Laurens didn't say anything, he trembled only worse.

"I-I-...." is all he could say. The fact he would never... ever see Lafayette again...

"O-Oh Laurens..." Hercules shook his head, hugging him tight.
