(Yes, I do believe in a Heaven.)
The last thing Laurens said was, "DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR SHOT!!!".
He chuckled, tears still rolling down his cheeks.
"I'm so sorry... I'm such a fucking idiot..." he frowned, crying out.
"Please... don't do anything reckless..." he slowly started to see a bright light.
"I don't want to go to the light.. n-not yet..." he tried to hold on.
"I don't want to leave him... I don't want to leave Hercules just yet..." more blood ran down his mouth, he was wondering why he was still alive.
"Hah..." he started to smile again.
"Love ya'...." he said before his life slipped from his eyes. Hercules was out on the battlefield, growling and shooting every target he saw.
"You're going to pay for what you did..." he said quietly.
"Where's Laurens?!" Hamilton asked.
"Keep. Shooting." Hercules commanded harshly. Laurens was on his knees now, looking up. He was still in the paramedics room. He looked up, seeing his lifeless body.
"I-... this is all my fault...." he stood up, looking at his hands. It looked like he was alive, but he wasn't. He walked up to his body, he still had a hole through his chest, his uniform was soaked with blood on his chest, and blood ran down his mouth. Just like his lifeless body. He looked out of the paramedics tent, sprinting out.
"Hercules, where are you?!" he probably wouldn't even hear him. He ran out into the battlefield, even though no one could see him. A white flag was raised in the air, but.... the thing is... Burr held up a white flag. They were the ones that surrendered. Laurens shook his head, tears rolling down his cheeks again. Hercules lowered his gun, he felt so many emotions, Laurens could tell.
"Is this my fault...?" Hercules asked him.
"This isn't your fault..." Laurens ran over to him, looking at him.
"I-It's my fault....!" Laurens cried out. Burr sighed, Hamilton was in utter shock, and Madison seemed to be looking for something. Lafayette, just hid behind the trees, observing him. Of course, they were both dead. Laurens fell to his knees, his world falling apart. He covered his eyes, nothing he could do now.
"I'm so sorry, Hercules Mulligan... I'm so, so sorry... it's all my fault... it's all my fault..." he cried. Lafayette let out a sigh, walking towards him now. He got down on his knees, tilting his head. Blood still ran down Laurens's mouth, which he didn't even know. Lafayette cautiously put his hand on his shoulder. Laurens jumped a bit, looking at him. There was a blood stain on Lafayette's stomach, Laurens assumed he got shot there.
"... i-it's all my... fault..." he whispered.
"Ma colombe pure et blanche, it's not your fault..." Lafayette pulled him close to him.
"It is..." Laurens cried.
"If anything, this is my fault..." Lafayette said quietly. Laurens cried into Lafayette's shoulder, getting blood on him.
