Chapter Forty-Six: One Side

Laurens hid behind a tree, placing bullets in his gun.

"Where's Lafayette?!" Hamilton asked, shooting his targets.

"No one told you?!" Burr shouted, throwing a grenade.

"He's off in France!!" Hercules barrel rolled to cover, making sure he has a clear shot, also.

"Why?! What's happening over in France?!" Hamilton asked, getting a head-shot.

"Nice one!!" Hercules chuckled.

"War!!" Laurens told him, missing his target.

"Fuck..." he whispered, trying to shoot again.

"So that's why Jefferson left as well, huh?!" Hamilton sighed, taking cover again.

"Mhmm, I don't think Madison even minded!!" Burr chuckled, shot a bullet by Hamilton's foot.

"Hey!! Stick to the fucking target, Aaron Burr!!" Hamilton snapped at him.

"Uh, what happens if we run out of grenades?!" Hercules asked, out of grenades.

"The General has more!!" Hamilton responded, back to shooting.

"Why do we swear so much out in the battlefield?!" Laurens asked, still shooting.

"Like I said before, Laurens!! Adrenaline!" Hercules said, not taking his eyes off of anything.

"When's Lafayette going to be back?! We're one man short yet we lack power..." Hamilton said, taking cover once more.

"What does that mean??" Burr asked.

"Hmm. We'll, let's see. We use waaay more bullets and not many targets are dying!!" Hamilton snapped at him.

"Why the hell do you always have an attitude?!" Burr snapped back.

"Talk less, shoot more!!" Laurens smiled.

"Hey, the kid is taking my words!!" Burr chuckled, shooting again.

"Yeah, glad Laurens is on your side!!" Hamilton shouted at him with sarcasm.

"I'm not on anyone's side!! We all have ONE. SIDE. Remember?!" Laurens started to snap, too.

"Oh Jesus..." Hercules sighed, now being the one who shoots the most.

"Okay, different opinions, ONE. SIDE." Hamilton said to him. Laurens growled.

"I'm the one who's doing the most shooting, if you guys can shut up and help me, that would be great!!!" Hercules now snapped. Laurens glanced over at the targets, starting to shoot more.
