Chapter 38. [Inter High Preliminaries]

SECOND PERSON

A few days have passed and it was finally the third day of the inter high preliminaries. You called up all the boys and all of you entered the bus that was exclusively for the volleyball club. Shiratorizawa is really a rich school. After arriving in the Sendai Municipal Gym you all went out of the bus with your bags and headed to the entrance. The other teams have already started to play and today was the day Karasuno and Aoba Johsai will have a match. Oikawa has bothered you all night just to tell you to watch their match against Karasuno and even asked who you will cheer for, unfortunately you said both. He kept whining but you justified that you will watch your little brother as well because it's his first match in volleyball. You can clearly sense that Oikawa was pouting in the other line and you just decided to call off the line but he asked you out for a date on Saturday to which you agreed.

You all headed inside the gym and teams from different schools were talking amongst themselves, and once they saw your team, they made way and talked about the team positive or not. You couldn't care less as you stared at the sheet of paper in your hands scanning the schedules of matches in different schools. You only looked up when they all entered a locker room that was assigned for Shiratorizawa.

Coach Washijo have started to talk about stuff and you were stuck listening to it as well. Once you were bored, you excused yourself and went out of the room to head for the main gym. Once you entered, you saw Karasuno and Aoba Johsai warming up for their match. You didn't want to cause attention towards the two teams because you were wearing a managers outfit for Shiratorizawa. You just headed towards the bleachers and watched from the highest last column. The match soon started and the tension was building up between them. Oikawa was dead serious as he analyzed Karasuno's ever changing course in plans. Karasuno in the mean time was scoring one point after the other as they penetrated against Seijoh's defense. Seijoh have started countering their attacks as they attacked as well mostly with Iwaizumi's spikes and Oikawa's deadly Jump serves.

Oikawa is really a monster when it comes to volleyball. You observed his movements and you frowned when he kind of strained his right knee. You were too caught up in watching the match when you didn't notice Tendou slumping beside you.

"Mou Y/n chan, are you a play girl?"

"What makes you say that?" you curiously looked at Tendou who was watching the match with his hands behind his head.

"I kinda heard that you had a boyfriend in Seijoh before having Igarashi as your boyfriend" he murmured

"Well yeah. Igarashi forced me to be his girlfriend actually." you admitted as you looked back at the match to see that Kageyama was in a staring contest with Oikawa.

"Forced you huh. Why would he do that?" Tendou turned his head towards you as you just shrugged.

"He just wanted to I think" You lied

"And you agreed?" he confirmed giving you a confused look

".....you wouldn't believe me if I tell you anyway" you shrugged it off as you looked back at the match

"Why won't you tell m-"

"Oya, you see that tall blonde there? That's my little brother" you pointed at Kei who jumped up to block the ball.

She definitely changed the subject. Tendou thought but he went with the flow.

"Oh really? That lanky guy? Pffft, he's too thin"

"You're thin as well you know" you retorted and stifled a snicker as he pouted.

"I know that" he complained and hunched on his seat.
