Chapter 30. [Don't Forget To Remember]

SECOND PERSON

"Come on Tooru! Let's go to the ice cream parlour!" Kaoru shouted as she pulled Oikawa towards another direction.

"You owe me a date, Babe" you said as you pulled on his arm heading towards the left.

Iwaizumi and the whole volleyball team watched as two girls fought over Oikawa who was in a daze. He was sweating and his face obviously showed that he doesn't know what to do.

"Babe! I thought you loved me!"

"I-i do y/n chan!"

"Don't you want to catch up with what we left off?!" Kaoru protested

"Ah ermm"

Suddenly you yanked Oikawa towards your side forcefully taking Kaoru's grip off his arm.

"Tooru, you're coming with me" you said as you pulled him away from Kaoru until you were both a few meters away from them.

"Wait! Tooru kun!" Kaoru shouted as she ran towards the two of you.

In a rush, you pulled Oikawa and ran farther. You led him to a dark alleyway and covered his mouth as you peeked to see that Kaoru was gone. She lost the both of you.

You breathed a sigh of relief and let go of Oikawa.

"Are you okay, y/n chan?" he asked and you looked at him.

"You've got a lot to explain to me" you said in a stern voice as you narrowed your eyes on him.

He gulped but later on let out a sigh and stood up.

"I'll explain at home" he said and reached out a hand to you and you took it to stand up.

Suddenly he pulled you in for a hug and snuggled on your neck. You were surprised at the sudden action but later on relaxed.

"I'm sorry, y/n chan." he blurted out

Location: Oikawa Residence

"She's your ex girlfriend"

"Uhm yeah"

"You're the one who broke up with her"

"Yeah"

"She said that you asked her out a while ago"

"...no"

"Prove it"

"Well, we were practising! And suddenly she appeared saying that she wanted to be my girlfriend! And then I didn't know you were coming for a visit! Ask Iwa chan for proof"

"So basically she was self proclaimed"

"...yeah"

Silence

"Oikawa?"

"Hmm?"

Your lips were trembling, struggling to speak as you paused and finally:

"We're in a fake relationship aren't we?...."

IWAIZUMI HAJIME

A week after y/n visited us, Oikawa has been kind of distracted. When we practise he would miss some of his serves and on the day after the visit, I knew that something was definitely off. Oikawa doesn't even bother to text y/n and he has been thinking too much lately. His bothered performance have been affecting the whole team and he seriously needed to concentrate because we need to compete in the Inter High prelims. The others kept asking me if he was alright but I just shrugged.
