THIRD PERSON

He sat in one corner of the room watching her slumped form as she stared at the grey asphalt with a blank face. Her wrists throbbing in pain as the chains half bit on her skin. His black hood covering his pitch black eyes.

Blood slowly trickling down her forehead as bruises decorated her arms, torso, and body. Her blond hair stained with blood from being hit too hard in the head by a baseball hat. He silently watched a drop of blood fall to the ground with a small sound of liquid against the ground.
Her instincts dull and her strength fading away. Her hollow eyes bore holes on the asphalt as her whole being shook with fear and panic on the inside. She felt a different presence in the room. It gave off a feeling of Death himself somewhere near her. It was nowhere near comforting.

He thought to Himself of how much of a waste to fetch the soul of a teenage girl who still had too much to do in the future. His bony hands caressing His scythe as He leaned against it. Suddenly the door opened to reveal a girl with a few boys of the same age enter the room. They were not armed but they looked dangerous. He heard them talking but He couldn't care less.

All He knows is that the blond girl will die any day of this week.

But when she lifted her face up, He saw the will to live burning in her eyes. It was nowhere near to large will, but they were good enough to impress Him which caused His hollow eyes to glow gold.

He knew....He knew that she wasn't ready to die, that she still has to live for her loved ones. He watched as they beat her up who was defenseless. But to her, she wouldn't mind. She's used to being held down anyway and no matter what. She wouldn't give in to anyone. Death Himself scoffed at the scene as the captors left the blond girl almost breathless, but as the door closed, her hands balled into a tight fist. Her body was very weak yet she managed to sit upright.

Death watched her quietly as the physical agony got into her and He couldn't do anything to help. Because once He touches a living thing with those hands, they will immediately die. His hands are bony, calloused, dangerous and diabolic. He can make every human fall in just one second if he was ordered to do so. But they were gentle to the touch when He touches a human who is fated to die. He ushers the soul to follow him as he leads the soul to another dimension where it is to be judged.

Death feels pity for his victims, but they were a gift from Life itself. Life sends countless gifts to him and he keeps them. He does feel emotions but he was forbidden to let them get in the way of his work specially the emotion called love. He estimated the time that he was going to get to work and that was exactly 336 hours after her abduction and 3 days from now on, Y/n will die. He stood up from His corner and disappeared in black smoke. He still has too much to do before fetching Y/n.

....

No tears fell down her eyes as pure willpower held her sanity together. Eyes burning with the will to live and she was determined to bear the pain longer as the hope for being rescued peaked her interest. Her chains clanked against the floor as her hands moved to rub her arms. She was growing cold and her clothes were in tatters. Cold sweat dripped down her temples as she tried to remain brave and set aside the fear that started to grow every second of the day.

Her breathing was deep as she finally drifted off to sleep.

....

Mikah forced herself out of the body she was accustomed to live in. She floated in the air as she watched in pity. The body she wanted for so long was now tattered and stained with blood. That body was screaming for Mercy. Mikah nearly wept at the horrible state of her counterpart. She kept thinking about it when she was still inside her body. Yet she couldn't do anything to help. She couldn't even touch a thing for she was only a created defense mechanism. She felt guilty. Guilty for making Y/n suffer when everything wasn't even her fault. She watched at the sleeping state of the body and turned around to leave. She couldn't do anything to save her.
