Imma just start the writing now, ehh no intro needed :)
Marinette walked into the front doors of the mall, where she saw Adrien standing by next to the fountain, his hair neatly placed but at the same time messed up, his usual attire seemed more proper yet casual, and when he looked up, the face of boredom was wiped with a huge grin.
It was their first date, after all.
"Mar!" Adrien walked up to her, "I-I mean, Marinette, or is it-"
"Either is fine," Marinette chuckled, "There's nothing to be nervous about, right?"
"Right," Adrien nodded, clearing his throat.
Aside the fact that Adrien finally got the courage to walk up to Marinette, who he had a crush on for the past three years, on a date, he had nothing to be worried about.
Adrien blushed at the sight of her, took her hand, and led her to the first part of their date.
-
"Ooh, what's this?"Marinette tilted her head to the side a bit, and watched the colorful arrows of the game go as it corresponds with the person dancing to the game. Two people actually.
"It's like a dance game, you know?" Adrien smiled and explained, "Since our reservations at the restaurant I was gonna take you to isnt until 7, I thought we'd kill some time and work our appetite."
Marinette clasped her hands together, excited, and pointed, "Is he winning?"
At the game, two guys seemed really into the game, as if it was a competition.
Correction, it was a competition. Adrien and Marinnete both took a step closer, and saw that one guy, a brunette latino who wore a brown green jacket, was trying very hard to keep up with the other guy, a dark haird Korean wearing a red crop jacket.
The Korean seemed to have the whole dance and steps down in the back of his mind, his legs were all over the mat, seeing the Dance Dance Revolution level seemed to be at expert.
The music of the game descends, and the score show up on the screen.
"Cmon, Keith!" The Latino complained, "That's not fair!"
"How is that not fair?" Keith asked, smiling.
"You're cheating!"
"Lance," Keith sighed, "How am i cheating? It's not my fault I'm so good at this game."
"You said you never played Dance Dance Revolution," Lance frowned, "I was just going easy on you for the first round, you liar!"
"Aww," Keith grinned, "You're cute when your angry."
Lance blushed at Keith's comment, and looked behind him and saw Marinette and Adrien holding in their laughter.
"You two fight like a married couple," Marinette snickered, "May I have a go? I never tried."
"Ooh no you don't," Lance protested, "I'm not falling for that again!"
"But I-"
"Here you go, pretty lady," Lance smirked, stepping off his mat. Adrien looked over at Keith, his arms crossed and eyes rolled. "You can go against Mullet here."
Marinette smiled, and took hus offer. Adrien narrowed his eyes at Lance, as he took Marinett's place next to Adrien.
"She's a cute one, huh?" Lance whispered over to Adrien as Marinette and Keith began the game.
"The cutest," Adrien sighed and smiled, "But she's with me."
Lance held his hands up, "Hey, I get it. I see true love when i see it," he winked. "The name's Lance. And the dude in the mullet, that's Keith."
Adrien blushed at Lance's previous comment about love, "I'm Adrien, and she's Marinette," afterwards trying to figure out what to say to Lance.
"Well, what about you and that Keith? He seemed real pissed when you started flirting with my date," Adrien chuckled.
"Shh, keep it on the DL, banana hair," Lance hushed, "How Keith and I feel about each other is not the same as you and Marinette."
"What's different?" Adrien asked, curious as the sounds of Marinette cheering was heard.
"Yours is mutual, mine is unrequited," Lance looked down, a sad look in his eye, "At least I think so."
The sounds of the game descends as the two looked up and saw the score, seeing Marinette won.
"This game's rigged," Keith grumbled, "I'm taking a break."
"Make that both of us," Marinette chuckled, tired.
"Hey, Adrien," Lance tapped, "you and me, one on one. Who's the better dancer?"
"You're going down, Latino." Adrien challenged as the hopped onto the game mat.
Marinette and Keith decided to watch them from the same spot as they did, as the music and song began to play, so did their comversation.
"So you and Adrien, fancy dinner for two?" Keith chuckled.
"Yeah," Marinette smiled, "It's so weird, Keith."
"How so?"
Marinette lowered her voice, "Let's just say that I've been in love with Adrien since the third freaking grade."
"Really?" Keith raises an eye brow, "I've been in love with Lance as long as I can remember."
"How long is that?"
"Long as I can remember."
Marinette chuckled, "We are just a couple of lovestruck dingos, are we?"
"Well at least you got the guy," Keith frowned, "As far as I know, Lance is as straight as spaghetti."
"Until it gets wet, so to speak," Marinette chuckled, "Trust me, I've seen the way Lance look at you when you're not looking. I think you should just go for it."
"Really? Did that work for you?"
"Well," Marinette scratched the back of her head, "Adrien asked me, so if never you ask him, you'll never now."
"Whoooo!!" The sounds of Lance cheering were heard, "Take that banana hair!"
"Lance, you cheated! What a CHEAP!" Adrien bantered back, "CHEAP LIKE YOUR TRASH TALK!"
Lance was determined to get the last word in. "CHEAP LIKE THE PRODUCTS YOU PUT IN YOUR HAIR!"
"BITCH, DONT EVEN GO THERE!"
"SHUT YOUR QUIZNACK!"
"WHAT THE HECKS EVEN A QUIZNACK?"
"He's still not using that word correctly," Keith sighed and shook his head, "Lance! Cmon, we gotta go! Pidge and Hunk are waiting for us."
Lance and Adrien took a step down from the mat.
"Good gaming, A?" Lance held his hand out.
Adrien laughed, clasped Lance's hand with his own, and pulled him in a bro hug.
"See you later, Lance," Adrien chuckled.
Lance and Keith both said the byes to Adrien and Marinette, and the two lovesick idiots chases each other to their friends.
Adrien took Marinette's hand and led her out of the mall, walking to the restaurant where there reservation was being held.
Marinette smiled, looking up at Adrien, "Lance in love with Keith?"
Adrien looked down, and met her eyes. "Definitely."
"Keith in love with Lance?" Adrien asked.
"For as long as he can remember," Marinette chuckled softly.
"Man, can you imagine?" Adrien wondered aloud, "You and me, pining after each other, running around in circles with endless flirting, wondering 'what ifs.' Stuck in a love square with just the two of us?"
Marinette tilted her head again, smiling and laughing, "I don't think that can ever happen."
