A/N: It is currently 1:01 AM on Sunday. I started this AU on Caturday. Just a mental note.
Adrien's alarm woke him straight up, and as usual, Plagg purred on the foot of his bed. 9:51 AM.
"Crap," Adrien quickly shoved the blankets out of the way and saw Plagg fly off. "Sorry, pal."
He managed to fix his hair, get his clothes on, brush his teeth, and eat breakfast all in eight minutes.
He grabbed his bag where he kept his sweats, and tucked his arms in his usual black cat jacket. Before he can head out, he opened the door to see the wicked bitch--uh, I mean witch, of the wild west. Yee haw.
"Oh! Adrihoney!" Chloé wrapped her arms around his neck, and attempted to kiss him. He pulled her way as politely as he could, but she was wasting anymore Marinette time for him.
"Listen, Chloé," Adrien tried for a smile, but he was dying inside, "I'll be back in a few, why don't you just...wait out here..."
"I'll be waiting for you!" Chloé leaned and puckered her lips one more time, but Adrien already turned on his heels and ran for it. "Bye Adrikins!"
---
"You're late," Marinette teased playfully. She was already in her usual ladybug top and black sweats. Hot damn.
"Will I get your forgiveness if you believe that it was Chloé?" Adrien smiled as he removed his jacket and opened his pack. Just to tease, he removed his shirt already before taking out his sweats.
Marinette stared forcefully, not knowing she couldn't look away. Her cheeks turned hot and she tried to shut her parted mouth. Marinette didn't turn away, but just watched Adrien change into his sweats.
Adrien turned and noticed her looking. "See anything you like, my lady?"
Marinette turned on her cheeky {yet flirtatious} mode, and replied with, "I would, but you're blocking my view."
Adrien pulled on his sweatpants. "But I am the view."
She reached for his jacket and handed it to him. "That's not what the pamphlet showed." Marinette smirked and stretched in front of the mirror wall.
"Let's start with warm ups," Mari backed up and gave room for herself. Turning up the music, she gave a repeating top rock, slowing herself down so Adrien and see the steps more carefully, and went back to her usual speed.
"Okay..." Adrien pulled his sleeves up and crossed his arms sassy yet manly. "What you call warm ups, I call work outs."
Marinette shook her head. "Oi," and in her best Winchester voice, she said, "We got work to do."
---
Adrien breathed heavy on the ground. "Is it lunch yet? How long has it been, one, two, or seventy hours?"
Marinette sighed, standing above him. "It's been twelve minutes."
"I don't get how you do this every weekend." Adrien took Mari's hand she offered and pulled him up.
"Try again, I know you can do it." Marinette motivated, "You just need something to keep you going..."
"If you can do the first routine," she bargained, "I'll take you to dinner. Heck, I'll even pay your meal."
Adrien perked up. "Like a date?"
Marinette started to stutter. "What? Wha-- no, no, gods no. Just...my treat." She placed a hand reassuringly on his shoulder. "You got it in you, I know it."
He looked into her eyes, and found what kept him going. "You're right."
Marinette happily turned the tunes back, and Adrien started remembering the moves. He started slow, with the top rocks, letting his legs move to the beat. His body dropped down and started doing flares, keeping his hand below his body.
Adrien started going bigger, and lifted his hand a bit so he could do air flares. Keeping his balance, he thought of Marinette, her eyes, her hair, they way she laughed.
It kept him going.
He picked himself back on his feet, doing bottom rocks. In his head, counted three, and went to two knee drops. He ended with a baby freeze, picking himself back up, sweating. "How was that?"
Marinette, squinting and patted his chest. "Not bad for a rookie," she chuckled, "Guess I owe you dinner."
"How about lunch instead?"
"But you still have alot to learn."
"Consider it a break," Adrien blinked, wiping the sweat on his neck with a towel.
Marinette sighed hesitantly. "Alright." She finally said. "Let's go."
---
Yippee, Adrien thought. It's Ninya.
"Bonjour," Nino waved at the two dressed in sweats. "Fun day at in the office?"
"Chat here can bust a few moves or two," Marinette smiled, taking a seat next to them.
Without her noticing, Alya turned to Adrien and winked at him, teasing him that he again is spending a day alone with Marinette.
"So I hear he's going to dance with you in the competition, Mari." Alya bit down on a piece of bread.
"Oui, but i still have to teach him the routine we're gonna dance to." Marinette pulled over a chair for Adrien to sit.
"I thought that was the routine." Adrien felt a swear coming down, catching it before it fell.
"No," Marinette took hus shoulder, "Those were a couple moves that's part of the routine, silly Chat."
Adrien groaned, he was a bit tired from those dances already, and it hasn't been lunch yet.
A short time has passed, Adrien got up and said, "We should get going."
Marinette nodded, tossing her cup away. "See you later, Alya?"
"Unless you're busy with Adrien," Alya teased, blinking them goodbye.
