It felt like an unreal nightmare for Alice to wake up with such horrid news.

They were spreading quicker than a contagious disease. Confirming the existence of Death Eaters killing muggleborns, Draco Malfoy along with his family as well as Daphne and the Greengrass family went missing, also the biggest news of the year: Albus Dumbledore is dead. Dumbledore's death wasn't something to mourn for, Alice was pretty neutral with the Headmaster. However she was terrified of the Death Eaters being at large and addition to that, that the man she loves was missing.

By the time she came back home, thankfully her father wasn't around. To her it was a relief - a temporary escape even, she didn't have to deal with his irrelevant excuses of how much of a disappointment she was.

Letting her things lie off by her room, she quickly threw herself on her comfy bed. Sighing in frustration as she stared by the ceiling.

Loneliness slowly crept in.

The house will never be the same again; especially without Cedric and their mother, Mara. Sixteen years have passed, yet the brunette had never stop blaming herself for what had took place. No matter how many times she tried telling herself it was not her fault, she couldn't help but eat her father's harsh words for breakfast.

Unfortunately, her life will never be the same again as well.

Having mutual feelings with a man dealing with the devil himself was not the ideal man she had in mind.

She let out another sigh, slowly getting up from her bed.

Should I write to him a letter?

Alice then realized something. If ever she wrote a letter and sent it to him then she might be in grave danger. There were too many cautions: first, Draco was officially a Death Eater and secondly, Christopher Lestrange, his insane cousin was at large and lastly; the Daily Prophet being a practical pain in the soul as they are always; she didn't want Draco to be dragged into some nonsense rumors.

Again, the brunette sighed.

Who knew love was this troublesome?

"You had one job, and can't even execute it properly!"

Enduring a slap of humiliation, Draco knew he deserved this. If only he was as crazy as Christopher then he would have killed the Headmaster within a split of a second. Unfortunately, he didn't want this. He would take any order from them, be a part of them, be manipulated by them, get your life dictated - but killing someone was not something he had in mind. As his deranged cousin was fuming in rage, the platinum haired heir held up a straight, blank face which happened to become his normal façade ever since he was part of a dark organization and seeing the eldest Greengrass heiress by his enigmatic cousin's side did not make him any better. It felt awkward seeing them everyday, almost eating each others' faces.

And that made him feel disgusted than feel happy for them being a 'couple'.

"Enough!" Narcissa, the ever-so-caring mother, pleaded Christopher to stop from all his words.
