Seeing how joyful the birds were dancing through the window, a certain brunette stared at them in awe. Being more focused unto it, she remembered a short yet bittersweet memory of her mother, who had taught her of a charm that would make her fly like the birds she has always been drawn into. However, her mood became gloomy upon reminiscing of what had happen to her mother two years from the current time she was in.

"Sweetie please. Stop reading those thick books," Mara Diggory tried to pull the book, A History of Magic away from her daughter's grasp.

In the eyes of Alice, her mother was the most beautiful woman on the world. Mara was brunette as well, dimples would always appear whenever she smiled, eyes were big and brown like innocent does. Almost being her exact carbon copy, the only trait that she didn't take from her mother was her stubbornness.

The young girl frowned when her mother took her precious book from her hands. "Mum, I'll go to Hogwarts two years from now! I need to learn and get used to these kind of things," she whines childishly, hoping that her mother would return her confiscated book.

Mara shook her head and chuckled, "You are such a Hufflepuff, Alice."

"Of course and I'll be there, just like you, father and Cedric."

Mara smiled, "Yes but I do not wish to see you wearing eyeglasses at the age of eleven."

"Alright, mum,"

"Now that's my obedient one."

"Well that's because I'm your only daughter."

Mara roll her eyes, laughing. "Alright, clever girl. Would you please keep this now?" she replies, pertaining to the book.
