Chapter 29 - When love takes over

Meg's POV

"Hey Jess have you seen Sam?" I said before i entered Josh's car.

"No. Maybe she skipped school." She shrugged.

"Yeah but Rachel told me earlier she saw her at the library and she hasn't seen Sam since then."

"Ok.. that's a bit weird? Why would Sam go at the library." She asked and i just shrugged. I don't know if i should be worried or not. What if she's not ok? On the other hand she's old enough to take care of herself. "Meg, i still think theres nothing to worry about. She probably skipped school. I'm sure she's home now." Jess said.

"But she never skips school alone! She usually asks us or Josh or Ryan or Rachel." I said. "Josh, did Sam ask you to skip school today?"

"No.." He said while driving. "I haven't seem her at all. Why don't you just call her?"

"I tried earlier. I think her battery's flat or something." I said.

Josh stopped in front of our house and me and Jess got out of the car.

"Hi girls!" Claire said when we entered the house.

"Hi Claire! Have you seen Sam?" i asked her.

"Yes. She came home from school a couple of hours later. She's upstairs." Claire replied.

"Thank god." I whispered to myself.

"Remind her she's grounded!" Claire told me while me and Jess were going upstairs.

I entered Sam's room. She wasn't there. Where is she?

"Where is she?" i asked Jess.

"I don't know but she must be somewhere here." Jess pointed out.

"Right. Let's check the other rooms." I said.

I entered Niall's room which is in the front of the hall. I looked around. He wasn't in his bed, couch, bathroom. He must be in the balcony.

"Hi!" i said. He was there just looking at the view. There's a small lake out there. It's really a great view. I used to love staring at it when i wasn't so busy.

He just looked at me and half smiled, his usual greet.

"Umm.. have you seen Sam?" i asked him.

"Why? Is she missing or something." He asked.

"Kind of. She's somewhere in the house unless she sneaked out. She skipped school today." I told him.

"Yeah i didn't ask for details." He said. It's kind of weird talking to him cause one moment he's nice then the other moment he's really cold, like he's fighting with himself wether he should be mad or not at me.

"Sorry." I muttered. I felt he was kind of annoyed so i tried to change the mood of the so called conversation. "So it's a great view right." I smiled.

"Yes." He said smiling. "It reminds me of my first.. date.." he started saying but then apparently he changed his mind.

"Your first date with Zoe." I finished for him. I'm almost sure she's his girlfriend. It's in his favorite contacts on his phone. I know i shouldn't check his phone but i couldn't help it. I also read their messages. I didn't mean to, but she texted him so..

He didn't reply.

"Why do you still care about her?" i said. I know it sounds kind of stupid but i hate the fact that he indirectly includes her in every conversation when he has me right here ready to be his friend or whatever. This is not jealousy. I can insure you.
