Chapter 22 - No Driving License

Meg's POV

Our parents left the next morning, but they promised to come as soon as they could.

The weirdest thing out of the last few days is that now Jess' dad is my dad. That's too much.

"Ok so umm what do you guys want for breakfast?" Claire asked. Our parents had left before we woke up.

"I'm not hungry." I said.

"Yeah me neither." Jess said.

"We'll just get something on our way to school." Sam said while throwing her backpack on her shoulder.

"Ok.. and what do the guys want?" Claire asked Harry. The others are still in the basement, sleeping probably.

"I don't know." Harry said. "We have time to think of something until they wale up."

"Well, we're going now." I said.

"I don't wanna go to school!" Sam complained like she does everyday.

"Come on Sam, it's Wednesday, we only have three more days." Jess told her.

"Of living hell.." Sam finished.

"Why do you make a big deal out of it. You skip most of the classes." I said.

"Umm i don't wanna interrupt your pointless conversation but when do you think you're gonna explain this whole thing to me." Harry said. We still need to talk to him about the fact that he kind of got kidnapped by his sister, no actually by his step sister and her best friend.

"When we get back from school." There's not much to discuss. We just need to make some things clear to him.

Sam's POV

I wish Fred would drive us to school but Meg thinks going to school by limo is not quite appropriate. So Josh usually drives us to school. None of us have a car. Jess and Sam have a driving license though. I don't. I didn't pass the test. Long story. But Meg's mom thinks they shouldn't have cars yet because they are too young and she promised to buy them a car when they're seventeen. Meanwhile i really really need to pass my driving test.

"Hey Sam do you happen to have any mascara with you?" Jess asked me.

"No, but you can go to my bathroom upstairs if you really need it."

"I know but it's a long way.." she said while collapsing on the couch.

"Hey, i though your school prevented make up!" Claire said.

"Umm no..." I said cause it's true. Where did she get that from.

"Well, i'll prevent you from wearing make up to school. You're supposed to go there to learn and not look slutty." She said while putting her hands on her hips.

"Claire what did you eat this morning?" i asked her cause she's clearly not ok.

"Nothing. Well, umm me an your parents had a talk last night. They had received and e-mail from the principal when you guys got detention and apparently they receive an e-mail every time you guys get detention or get in trouble at school which has happened enough lately and mrs. Alice was like 'Claire, how have the girls been acting at school?' and i was like 'Pretty well, why' and she was like 'Well they did get detention lately, didn't they?' and i was like 'Yeah..' and she was like 'Why did that happen?' and i was like 'I don't know' and she was like 'Let's not let that happen again' so.." She stopped to breathe. "So be good ok?"

"Don't worry Claire." Meg said.

Yeah, like we're not gonna get in trouble any more. Trouble is my oxygen.

"Girls Josh is here." Jess informed us.

"Bye Claire."

"Bye girls."

"Hey where's Ryan?" i asked when i noticed Josh was alone in the car.

"Oh he got a new car." he said. Wow apparently i'm the only 16 year old human being who doesn't have a car plus Meg and Jess and Rachel and Claire. No actually Claire does have a car. It's not completely hers but it's a car my parents gave to her so she could go grocery shopping or drive us at places where we can't go by limo like school and stuff.

"But his birthday isn't until next week?" Meg said.

"Yeah but he got it in advance." Josh said. Ryan will be 17 next week! Cool! That means another party. Josh got his car on his 16 birthday while Ryan had to use his dad's old car when he was 16 but he never used it. "By the way when are you girls gonna get a car?" Josh asked us.

"When you get yourself a girlfriend!" I almost yelled.

"What's up with her?"

"She doesn't have a driving license." Meg told him.

"Was it so necessary to tell him!" i said angrily mostly cause Josh was laughing.

"Is it really necessary to fight over this!" Jess yelled louder than any of us.
