Chapter 23 - You're not normal

Jess' POV

"By the way where's Rachel?" I asked.

"She's coming with Ryan." Josh replied.

"Are they officially dating now?"

"No. Not yet. Ryan said he's gonna propose to her on his birthday so she can't say no." Josh said.

"How sweet of Ryan.." Meg said rolling her eyes.

"We're here." Josh said as he parked his car.

"Hey babe." Sam said before kissing Trent, her boyfriend. He's hot and a soccer player, but he's a jerk. It's guaranteed that they'll break up by next week. "Why didn't you come to school on Monday and Tuesday?" she asked him when they parted. What am i doing here again. I tried to start a conversation with Meg to get my attention away from Sam's love life.

"I've been really sick, but i'm better now!" Trent said.

"Ok, well i gotta go now." Sam told him and joined us. We have almost every period together today.

"I though you'd break up with him! I mean that was part of the bet." I told Sam.

"I'll break up with him when you complete your part of the bet." Sam said.

"Girl, that bet was over." Meg tried relax us.

"It's back on." Sam looked at me.

"What? You aren't serious right?" Meg said. "And Sam please don't look at my step sister like you're about to suck her blood."

"No, i think we're both pretty serious." I said ignoring the fact that Meg just referred at me as her step sister.

Meg rolled her eyes in response and sighed.

"Let's just go to class." She said grabbing my and Sam's hands and dragging us through the hall.

Meg's POV

The bell rang informing us that the last period had just ended. Woohoo.

We were walking through the hall, making our way out.

"Why doesn't our school have like you know a popular spoiled girl?" Meg asked.

"The closest thing we have to that is Stacy." Jess laughed. Stacy is the girl Trent cheated on Sam with a few months ago. Sam squeezed her eyes shut for a moment.

"Hey we're gonna have to walk home." I said.

"What? Why?" Sam complained.

"I just got a text from our ride. Josh's going to visit his grandma. It's her birthday so.." i said.

I violently knocked on the door until Claire finally opened.

"Relax." Was the first thing she said.

"Sorry." I said.

"Hey you're back!" Harry said with a wide smile on his face.

He's getting weirder and weirder. The good side of all this is that maybe he won't sue us now that he knows some of us are part of his family.

"Yea.." i said as i threw my bag on the couch.

"Are you guys hungry?" Claire asked from the kitchen. Has she turned into a mom or what?

"I am!" Sam said walking towards the kitchen.

"Where are the other guys?" i asked.

"I think Niall is sleeping on his room. Louis and Zayn are still in the basement playing some video game and Liam is in his room as well." Claire replied.

"Are they all locked?" i asked again. I just want to make sure.

"Yes." Claire said. I looked over at Harry who seemed a bit relieved he wasn't locked in a room and i had to prevent my laughter.

"Has this one been the whole day around?" i asked Claire again referring to Harry.

"Yeah. I think there's something wrong with him." Claire replied.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again." Sam yelled from the other side and we all started laughing once we realized how dirty that sounds. Harry just rolled his eyes and didn't say anything.

"Maybe he needs a hug!" Sam said.

"Yeah Sam. Just grab him!" Jess said.

"Where?" Sam said and we started laughing once again.

"You're so inappropriate." I said.

"You girls have mental issues." Harry spoke.

"Oh my god Harry how dare you? That girl over there is your sister!" Sam said in a fake worried mom voice. "Apologize!"

"Oh and by the way were do you plan on telling me what's going on and why are my friends still locked on their rooms?" Harry asked.

"Here i'll explain it to you." Sam started. It was actually her idea so she should explain it.

"Now i guess you know that the mom you've been living with is not your real mom right?" Sam asked.

"Yeah."

"See your real mommy and your real daddy married and wanted to have a kid but they failed and you came out! But later they divorced and your daddy married another woman but they divorced again, but your step mom kept you instead of your dad." She stopped for a moment.

"And how do you know all this?" he asked.

"My dad told me."

"And how does he know?"

"I think he was a friend of your father or something." She shrugged.

"Ok. And where did Meg and Jess come from?" he asked.

"See when you were born three years later Megan came out. Then your parents divorced but your mom kept Meg." She said. "And Jess is just your step sister you idiot." She added.

"Jess is only my step sister?" he sounded a bit surprised. "But where's my dad now?"

"I don't know. She doesn't know. Her mom doesn't actually mention him. No one knows." Sam said. Harry just nodded. "Are you clear now?" Sam asked.

"Kind of." He said. "Where did this kidnapping this come from?"

"Well.. you and Meg had to eventually meet each other so.."

"So you kidnapped me?"

"Yeah." Sam smiled.

"That's sick."

"Thanks."

"But why did you kidnap my bandmates?"

"They were sorta there so.."

"Sam you're not normal." Harry said.

"You're now figuring that out?" Jess said.
