Chapter 31 - As Crazy But Smarter

Meg's POV

It was a Friday morning and we were all sitting on the dinning table having breakfast.

"So.." i began the conversation. "I had something i wanted to talk about."

Sam gave me a quick glance and i knew what she was thinking. 'You're gonna tell them about our secret?' No, of course i wouldn't. I may not be the best at keeping secrets (even though i kinda am) but i don't go telling everyone the next day.

"It has to do with Jess," i said. I usually feel like the parent in such conversations. Well, i actually am the most mature person here. Counting Claire too.

Jess sighed. "What is it?"

"Well, yesterday, when we were at Louis' room, Sam told we that you promised Kelly you'd get One Direction to perform at Ryan's party next week, did i hear that correct?" i asked.

"Yeah..." She said.

"So is it true?" i asked fully knowing it was.

"Yes," Jess said.

"And do you think we can manage that?"

"Well, i don't know. Just ask them to maybe?" she suggested.

My question came out wrong. I wasn't asking them to find out ways to get them to perform. I was trying to make Jess realize what a stupid idea it was.

"Jess, we're not gonna get them to perform there. It's dangerous. No one should know One Direction is in the city. It's gonna spread all over the newspaper. People are gonna ask what are they doing here. They fucking missed a concert for god's sake. All those fans got refunds. And that costed, like a lot. You should rethink it next tim before you brag in front if your friends," i said.

"Kelly's not my friend," was all she saif after i finished my speech.

"That's not the matter here."

"Well, speaking of the 'matter', i think you're over thinking it. They don't have to go spread it all over the magazines and newspapers. Even if they do it will look like Ryan just hired them to perform," she said.

"Everyone in the school knows Ryan's family can't afford that," i pointed out.

Not that Ryan is poor. But getting one of the most famous bands perform at your birthday party costs.

"Then we'll tell them it was a birthday gift from us!" she said.

"You haven't even gotten Ryan's permission yet!" i raised my voice. It was getting harder and harder to convince Jess out of this.

Jess smirked before replying. "And you think that Ryan would say no to an international band which his future girlfriend is totally crazy about?"

I rolled my eyes. "We're still no doing it."

"Oh c'mon Meg! Don't you ever do something exiting?"

"This has nothing to do with that!" i replied as soon as she asked me. "Jess i know you care about your reputation but this is way too dangerous."

"Why is that dangerous? They're not sky diving, they're just performing!"

"No." there's no way she can convince me.

"Fine." she said as she got up from her chair. "But don't think this is over." after that she left.

Jess' POV

I have my ways for getting what i want. I'm as crazy as Sam, but i'm smarter.

The thing is that i pay lots of attention to details and i know more than you think i do. When i notice something suspicious i try to find the reason behind it and when i do i use it to black mail people.
