Chapter 10

"If it's positive Scar, I'll be with you the whole way okay?" She says as I nod and hug her as she hugs me back and kisses my now pale cheek.

She nods and we walk in before staring in the sink.

They say...

Negative.

"I... I don't understand I mean like... I..." I stutter as Lisa looks just as shocked as I do.

"I think we should go to the doctors. We did wait." She says as I nod.

"But Lisa, how long did we wait?" I ask as she thinks for a minute.

"1 minute." She replies.

"We have 2 more minutes to wait." I say before sighing and sitting on the landing.

She nods and sits beside me.

"Do you think Nathan will stay if the results come out positive?" I ask as she shrugs.

"I dunno Scar, I really don't know." She replies as I look at my watch.

"30 seconds." We wait a little longer.

"5, 4, 3, 2... 1" We walk back into the bathroom and look at the tests before I sigh.

"Doctors?" Lisa asks as I nod.

"Doctors."

We make our way to the doctors before making an appointment.

We sit and wait for my name to be called.

I go through the process before I get told that I'll get a letter through the post.

"Okay, thank you." I say before collecting Lisa from the waiting room and we walk home.

"I'll get a letter soon."

~A few days later~

I'm sat on the sofa shakily holding an unopened envelope waiting desperatley for Lisa to come down stairs.

I hear her footsteps on the stairs and she sits beside me.

"Open it. I'll be here all the way." She promises as I nod and turn the envelope over.

I slowly open it before taking the letter out.

Dear Miss. Drew,

   We are pleased to inform you that you are 4 weeks pregnant and that we'll love to see you and your partner (if available) to come for your first ultrasound scan in 1 months time on the 14th of Febuary if possible. Your due date will be around 14th october. Congratulations and we wish you all the best.

Dr. Sherman and Nurse Littlewood.

"L... Lisa..." I trail off as the tears start to fall.

She pulls me into a hug.

"I know babe. I know. Shh. Everything's gonna be fine. I promise." Just then there's a knock on the door.

"I'll answer the door. You go sort yourself out." I nod and go to sort myself out before someone knocks on my bedroom door before walking in.

I turn round and see Nathan stood there shutting the door.

"Scarlet, Lisa called me. Said it was important." He says as I nod.

"Yeah, Nathan. It is." I say as he hugs me and kisses my head.

"Tell me." He says as I pull away from him.

"N... Nath, I... Uh... I'm pregnant."
