Please read and enjoy! Fairy Tail belongs to Mashima. I own this book and some characters. The noise the crowd was making was unbearable, simply unbearable. Juvia would've clamped her hands over her ears tightly if it weren't for the men that were roughly gripping her weak arms. Julia felt powerless. It wasn't supposed to be like this. Juvia's status as a wizard was worthy of S-Class. She was incredibly strong. Why was it that she couldn't do anything now?
Juvia's eyes suddenly shot open from realization. She wasn't powerless! It just never occurred to her that she could use her magic to break free! As Juvia thought up a plan to escape, the king hollered to the crowd once again.
"As your King Jebediah, I solemnly swear to make every decision for the sake of Milagros! Whatever shall happen tonight here and now shall happen solely to protect us and our nation!" With those words spoken, the crowd cheered even louder, because it was apparently not loud enough already.
King Jebediah closed his eyes and folded his hand behind his back. "Now step forward with the woman." Aldie's men nodded obediently and prepared to step forward, until they realized something. The place where they were once holding her arms, they were now holding... water?!
The water, as if it were alive, slipped out of their hands and landed into a large puddle on the ground. That puddle flowed swiftly beneath their feet and Juvia's body emerged gracefully as the water swirled around her, becoming human once again. The crowd gasped at what had just transpired, for they had never witnessed such a feat. Soon they roared in anger and in fear. She stood proudly in front of the bewildered men that were once holding her. Their faces of shock soon became fury.
Before Juvia could be caught again, she bolted towards the giant doors of the monstrous-sized room. "She's getting away! After her!" one of Aldie's guards shouted. With a small gasp, Juvia ran even faster. The king's subordinates were catching up. Before one of the bigger men could grab her, she lashed out. "WATER WHIP!!" she yelled, her cry fierce and controlling. The man was wrapped in her spell and thrown against the wall, resulting in a roar of outrage from the crowd.
"She's dangerous! Proceed with caution!" another guard warned. A few listened and kept their distance, but others recklessly charged towards Juvia. Big mistake, she thought to herself. Juvia raised her arms, feeling the magic power surge within her. She barely heard the battle cries of the guards approaching her. All she heard was her own magical stream of power, flowing powerfully like a river. All at once, she unleashed it.
"WATER NEBULA!!" she cried. In a split-second, the men were washed away by an augmenting maelstrom of scalding water. It engulfed everyone present on the floor of the room, and just barely scraped those at the bottom of the bleachers, who jumped back at the heat. Once the spell had calmed down, all that remained were the defeated men who lay helplessly on the floor, unconscious. Everyone in the room stood in utter shock at what had just played out. The few moments of painstaking silence didn't last long.
"MONSTER!!" a man from the crowd hollered. He accusing pointed a finger at Juvia. "SHE'S A MONSTER!! KILL HER!!!" Gradually, others near him began chanting in agreement until everyone had one unanimous belief. Juvia grit her teeth.
"SILENCE!!" another booming voice echoed, much louder than anyone else. Juvia turned and was shocked to see it was...Aldie. The maroon-haired man walked sturdily towards one of his fallen comrades. He pressed two fingers against his neck, checking for a pulse. "He's alive. They all are," he verified. This arose questioning murmurs amongst the citizens. Aldie then faced Juvia. "You didn't kill them," he said tersely. Juvia narrowed her eyes. "Of course not. I'm not a murderer. It was completely self-defense." She then faced him.
