I hope that the last chapter rose some curiosity in some readers! I'm seriously loving writing this book!
Please enjoy Chapter 17! I don't own Fairy Tail, never have, never will. I can only continue to write fanfiction about the series.
Juvia stared at herself in the grand mirror. The woman she was facing was rather unfamiliar. Once she was brought into the castle, the royal servants had whisked her away to prepare her for dinner. They bathed her tenderly, much to her utter embarrassment, and clothed her in the silkiest gown she'd ever worn. It was a huge contrast to the torn up clothes she'd barely kept on before.
But they hadn't stopped there. They had used luxurious shampoo in the bath and styled her hair into an elegant bun, leaving thin strands framing her face, and a small braid neatly blending in at her temple.
To finish the look, they adorned her face with light blush and contour to emphasize her perfect cheek bones, mascara to make her lashes pop, and some pink lip gloss that made her lips look luscious.
Juvia looked at herself again.
She just didn't look like herself. She had never once looked so elegant. If she were in her normal mood, she would've adored the change and flaunted her looks to herself in the mirror for fun. She did look jaw-dropping gorgeous.
But as of now, she just looked into her own lifeless looking eyes and nodded slowly. "It's nice," she croaked to the maiden watching in anticipation. She clapped vehemently. "You look stunning, my dear! The young Lord Victor will be pleased, indeed!" she exclaimed in pure joy.
"Is that so?" Juvia absentmindedly answered. As she examined her looks, she couldn't stop herself from thinking about what a certain someone else may think of her upgrade. Juvia gasped, and shook her head lightly, careful not to ruin her hair. No! Bad girl! Do not think about him! she scolded herself.
Juvia briskly spun around to face the maiden. "Am I ready to go, then?" she asked. "Absolutely!" the maiden replied.
The elderly servant, whose name was Bianca, escorted Juvia to the dining room, all the while conversing with her, in which Juvia replied with a simple nod or 'hm.' The palace was like a maze. It took five minutes in itself to reach the dining room, and Juvia's feet ached from the uncomfortable heels.
