Hello everyone! I'm so so so sorry for the extremely late update and I know that that's not enough to earn your forgiveness but recently I've started high school (yes, I'm pretty young XD) and you can imagine the stress of getting used to it. Lately I've been getting comments asking or pleading for an update, and I appreciate that you guys are anticipating my updates on this book, really. But please don't leave comments like 'Plzzzz updateeee!!!!' and that's it. Tbh, it makes me quite lazy and I wouldn't know if you're actually enjoying my book or not. Take this into mind if you'd be so kind. (LOL the rhymes) Well enough chat!
Hiro Mashima owns Fairy Tail. Please enjoy Chapter 9 of Ice-Cold!
To describe the current atmosphere across Fiore in one word, it would be chaotic. Gray was impatiently sitting on a bench amongst a crowd of similarly annoyed people. He was waiting for a train to arrive, but it had gotten delayed due to a hectic storm that hit its area. The crazy weather had been all over the news for the past week. No one in all of the nation had the slightest clue behind the cause of it, except for Gray Fullbuster.
One whole week. That's right. One full week uncovered absolutely nothing. You'd think that Juvia would be in the heavily raining areas, except it was raining like madness absolutely everywhere. Goes to show just how much she's been affected by that incident, all the more adding to the ice wizard's never-ending guilt. Whenever he thought back to it against his will, it hurt so bad. But he didn't have the right to complain. It was Juvia who was absolutely devastated by Gray's cruel words. Oh, how he wished he could just go back in time and take back everything word he said, but he couldn't. He just couldn't. He had to live with his own mistakes.
After what seemed like years, the train finally arrived. It was the most beautiful thing Gray had ever seen. After Juvia, of course..
Wait. What? Gray replayed that thought as he walked to the entrance. Did he really just think that Juvia was beautiful? As Gray seated himself comfortably on a random seat, he pondered over it. Juvia always a had a bright smile on her face, one so bright she could light up the whole world with it. Then there was her body. No one could deny those curves and...yeah, no questions asked. She also had lovely hair, blue and wavy like an ocean. It was light and bouncy, just like her. Then there were her eyes. They used to creep Gray out when they first met, but now, he found them as the most mesmerizing thing about her. They were so deep in blue and held so many emotions: bliss, sadness, anger, confusion. Of course, they were most beautiful when they were glowing with pure happiness and joy.
Juvia definitely played the part of good looks, but to boot, she did have an amazing personality as we-
His thoughts were cut off as a crack of lightning flashed in the sky. It was so intense, it felt as if it had zapped Gray. A couple of other passengers were startled same as him. A little girl even started crying. Her mother rushed to comfort her child. Normally Gray would've been annoyed with a kid's cries but this time, he couldn't help but feel sorry. It was his fault she was suffering like this. Not just her, but everyone in Fiore.
A message came on the PA speakers.
"I apologize, passengers, for the hectic ride. Please try to understand our crew is doing their best to make through this storm. We have no idea what in God's Name could be causing this weather, it's off the charts! But it is affecting everyone in the area, including us. We're going to arrive in Magnolia much later than expected but please bear with us and have patience. Thank you for your cooperation."
Gray internally groaned. "Great. Just how much later am I gonna get to the guildhall now?"
"Mommy, why is this happening?!"
Gray turned to look at the little girl from before. She stopped crying but she was still trembling. Her mother wrapped her arms around her small body from beside her. "I don't know, sweetie. It'll be okay, I promise."
