Chapter 25: The Next Step
After spending a lot of time volunteering with the humane society, I decide that although I really enjoy what I am doing, I don’t see myself turning my passion into a career. I’m thinking more along the lines of teaching. I thought for a long time that Hayden would choose to do the same because of being brought up around a lot of younger children, but he has decided to go into video broadcasting.
I start doing research to find out exactly where to go in order to get the most out of the experience, and it turns out the best spot for me is the closest college to us, a small community college called Crown Community College.
By the time I finish my program I am a well established member of the community and couldn't be happier with my position. It took less than a month to find my first contract with the school board.
