Chapter 5
Jared's POV
I'm having my normal lesson on Rocky in the indoor arena.
"Lope at this corner," directs Emma, "Good, don't let him stop." I'm concentrating a lot, so I don't notice three people walk in and stand next to Emma.
Rocky's canter feels a bit uneven but I discard the thought.
"Now bring him back to a trot, then a walk and come over here." says Emma.
That's when I notice her. She's standing next to a woman who it obviously her mother. She is beautiful. I've never seen a girl like her. And she's looking at me. Well, Rocky, she's looking at Rocky.
Play it cool, Jared, play it cool.
"Does he have a stone or something in his front left hoof?" she says, looking at Rocky's hoof, "He was picking it up higher than his others."
I dismount and pick up Rocky's leg. "He does! Thanks!" I reply.
"You can go put him away now." says Emma.
"I'm Jared, by the way." I add, with an unconscious smile.
"I'm Melanie." she answers.
"I'll see you 'round, Melanie." I say, leading Rocky away.
Damn, why do I feel this way?
I don't want a girlfriend or anything, but she's so beautiful.
A\N: oohh!!! Jared's POV!!! *sigh* why couldn't real life be like that?? Am I right horsey girls?! I personally ride and love horses! They are amazing animals! And many, if not all, female equestrians want/look for a guy that rides.
