Demi ran down the corridor to her first lesson, which she was 40 minutes late for. It was almost not worth going to, but she knew she'd be scolded even more for not turning up. She stopped infront of her english room and caught her breath. She then slowly opened the door and walked in over to her desk. She bit her lip and and sat down beside her bestfriend Jess, giving her the how-much-trouble-am-i-in look. Jess bit her lip and frowned slightly "He is not. in. a. good. mood..." she whispered. With that she nodded and sat down getting her folder out and flicking to the last worksheet they'd worked on. Mr. Colins slowly walked up to Demi's desk, he gently placed his hands on the desk infront of her and cleared his throat. Demi slowly looked up to an unimpressed face. "What can possibly be running through your head, Miss Riley, for you think it would be acceptable to turn up to my lesson 40 MINUTES LATE!!..." he said loudly. Demi bit her lip "I'm sorry sir, i, my, my mum was late dropping us off...It won't happen again.." she said quickly. He scowled at her before nodding and taking his hands off the desk and turning away. Demi sighed and looked to Jess, who returned her look of relief. For the remaining 20 minutes of the lesson, everyone worked silently. Demi was kind of relieved that it was silent working as she didn't really feel like talking to anyone. She was still annoyed at her mum for earlier.

The moment the bell rang, Demi snapped her folder shut and stuffed it in her bag along with her pen and hurriedly got out of the room. She walked 10 paces down the corridor before stopping and leaning against the wall, squeezing her eyes shut. She felt a soft tap on her sholder and opened her eyes, it was Jess with a huge grin on her face. "Cheer up Dems! It was only Colins...Besides i have something that's gunna cheer you up soooo much!.." she said with a giggle and looped her arm around Demi's and marched her down the corridor to their next class.

"So, whats the news?.." she asked Jess with a soft smile. Jess squeeled and reached into her pocket. "You are going to freak!..." she said and pulled out two rectangular pieces of paper. Demi frowned but then it clicked. "Are those?....Are they?....AHHHHH!" she screamed excitedly. Jess nodded enthusiastically "YESYESYES!..." she screamed. Demi calmed herself down but couldn't hide her huge grin. Jess had got them! The marroon 5 tickets. They were impossible to get but somehow she'd gotten them. Demi grabbed her phone out of her bag and looked to Jess "Now i just have to convince my mum to let me go to London to see them!.." she said and took a deep breath dialing her mum's number. Jess crossed her fingers for luck and un-looped her arm from Demi.

Her phone rang. Demi took a deep breath as she heard her mother answer. "Demi? What is it? i'm kind of busy right now...I'm driving" she said. Great, so she was in a bad mood. This was going to be hard work. "Hey mum, sorry, but this can't wait....So, Jess got Maroon 5 tickets! Two, for herself and me...But the thing is...It's in London and..." her mother interupted her instantly "no." Demi's eyes widened "But...mum, you haven't even given it a thought! You know how much i want to see them, and it's only in Lon..." again her mother interupted her "I said no Demi, end of discussion, i'm not having my 17 year old daughter trapes around London at night..." Demi frowned angrily. "Whats your problem. Seriously, am i a prisoner or something?...I wasn't allowed out last month to go to town for Jess' birthday, then i wasn't allowed to go to any party i was invited too and now i can't go to my favourite bands concert..Do you hate me or something?.." she said working herself up. She heard her mother sigh "Don't be stupid Demi, i don't hate you, stop being so meladramatic, and stop picking fights with me, i know you're 17 now and you think you're an adult but you're not so just listen to me..." she said and with that Demi scrunched her face up angrily "URRRGGGHHH, stop with the you think your an adult but your not bullshit...I just want to go out to see my favourite band with my bestfriend...But no. Once again you have to be a bitch...you may not hate me...but...but i hate you!..." she shouted and hung up at once.

Demi turned her phone off and slung it into her bag and looked to Jess with an angry expression. Jess sighed and dragged Demi into a hug "Calm down, Dems...We'll ware her down.." she said and let go of Demi. She pushed Demi's frown into a smile with her fingers and grinned "Stop frowning and lets get to drama..." she said and Demi sighed and nodded walking slowly to drama with Jess.

The day went by slowly, and Demi's bad mood didn't help. By last period Demi's mood hadn't subsided and Jess' attempts to cheer her up had failed completely. Demi was furious at her mother! It was as if she cared about the twins more than she did Demi. They always got what they wanted, she never did. It infuriated her so much. Demi slowly walked to Mr. Collins' room for her last lesson. It made no sense that he taught her first period and and fifth. She walked in 5 minutes late and walked over to her desk, not caring what he said to her. Mr. Collins walked over to Demi slowly and stood by her desk and frowned at her. "Miss. Riley, i, erm, wasn't expecting you this lesson...." he said awkwardly. Demi looked up to him with a confused expression on her face "what do you mean?.." she said and frowned. Mr. Collin's eyes widened "I was informed that you weren't going to be in my last lesson by your father?...Due to what happened.." he said. Demi frowned even more confused "What are you talking about?.." she asked. Mr. Collins rubbed his head uncomfortably, "Perhaps you should check you phone Miss. Riley, or, go to Mrs. Parkmen..." Demi stood up grabbing her phone from her bag and rushing out of the room. She turned on her phone and her eyes widened 25 missed calls from her dad. She quickly called her voicemail and listened to them.

"Demi, call me when you get this, this is urgent...." her dad sounded frantic.

"Demi, pick up your goddamned phone!!" Demi was taken a back by how worried her father sounded.

"DEMI! Please, please answer your phone..." her father sobbed.

"Demi..Please, it's your mother...she's been...she's...please call me.." he said brokenly.

Demi stared down at her phone in horror. What the hell was going on. She quickly dialed her fathers number whilst running down the corridor and out of the building.

He answered after the third ring. "Demi! thank god! why didn't you answer your phone before!..." he said frantically. He sounded exhausted. "Listen, i need you to get home now, i've picked the twins up and we're waiting for you...Hurry up...i..please.." Demi was starting to panick now. "D..Dad whats going on? I...25 missed calls, are you alright?...Why have you got the twins...I..." she could hear her dad take in a long shakey breath "it's your mother, she's been in an accident..".
