Arima Saki entered his son's room. When she looked up inside, she was shocked to see that her son had truly changed already. He's older and more mature than he was before she left him. Kousei woke up when he heard someone crying until he found her in front of his bed. Since he could only remember the sickly Arima Saki, he wasn't able to recognize her.
"Who are you? Why are you crying?" He soon found himself enveloped into an embrace and slowly, he knew who she was as tears covered his eyes. "Mom, you're home."
"Kousei, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I heard you thought that I passed away," she told him as she's crying. "I shouldn't have left. I should have stayed. I should have gone back home after I was cured. If I didn't, you wouldn't become an amnesiac."
Kousei dried his tears. "I'm fine now, mom. I know that the missing memories would return to me at the right time."
She dried her tears. "You've become stronger."
As they keep talking to each other, his father was watching them in amusement.
His family's finally complete.
"You'd live here with us, right?" cried Kousei. "You will be here, right?"
Saki's eyes glittered with joy. "Why wouldn't I? Of course, I'll be here. I will be taking care of you."
After they talked together, she finally left him alone and joined Takahiko outside his room for him to study. "Tell me, have the police arrested the man who tried to kill our son?"
"I knew you'd say that. Seto Kissaki and his team... I trust them, You should also trust them," Takahiko promised her. "They plan to secretly guard our son without him noticing."
...
The next day, he returned to school as usual and the police had already began their mission to protect him as they believe that Satoshi would come and kidnap him again as he was able to return to normal life easily after he was released from the hospital. As he kept on staying inside the school, he felt a sudden heavy atmosphere at lunch as he kept seeing middle-aged men in civilian clothes everywhere in his school and that made him think.
Are they police? If they are, why are they in here?
Princess Aquina observed that he seemed uncomfortable and so, she just peered into his eyes. To her luck, her eyes were able to quickly calmed him down. He's absolutely thankful that Princess Aquina had always been with him and still, he knows that he's falling for her and his feelings for her is real.

Months passed by and Arima Kousei and Princess Aquina became obviously inseparable. They weren't yet in a relationship status but as they were very much intimate to each other as best friends, everyone who knows them were theorizing that it won't be surprising if they become a couple, soon. They were able to be friends with Kasuki Izanagi and Akayame Mina for the many months they were all spending together at school.
In Tsubaki Sawabe's case, she was still struggling to study very hard since the pressure in the high school division of Tokyo University was too high. For her, it was luck that she was able to get inside Tokyo University and most of all, she was able to become friends with Princess Aquina, Kousei's current closest best friend. She was also able to renew her friendship with Kousei after Aquina became her friend. She still pities him a lot whenever she blurts out some memories that Kousei doesn't even remember when the three of them spend some time together in malls.
It was September at that time when she got an e-mail coming from Miyazono Kaori and Watari Ryota. Both of them were asking if she's able to become friends with Kousei again. She sighed and replied to them that she was able to become friends with him again but she had told Watari Ryota that she could feel that Kousei seemed to feel something more to Princess Aquina. It was only the princess who seemed to actually refuse those feelings. She sighed. Kousei actually can't even see her more than as a friend...
...
Saturday came...
Tsubaki Sawabe was walking along the corridors of her apartment building after buying some bento boxes when she suddenly saw Princess Aquina outside her room. "Why are you here, Princess?"
Aquina laughed at her. "How many times should I say that I want you to call me in my name only?"
She finally opened her door and gestured her to get in her small room in Tokyo. "Why are you here? How did you know where I stay? Kousei doesn't even know where I live."
"I have some questions about Kousei's forgotten past," she closed her eyes. "He's acting strange at school. He's becoming more pushy these past few days. I'm afraid that I'm falling for him, too. I don't know how I made him fall for me. We only met at the time he seemed broken and I helped him fix his broken heart through music."
Tsubaki's heart was suddenly shattered to pieces. Kousei had fallen for another girl other than her. Tears fell from her eyes as she close her door after Aquina confessed to her.
"Did it surprise you?" Aquina asked her. "I don't want to hurt your feelings to whatever I said."
Tsubaki dried her tears and honestly replied to her, "Of course, it surprised me! I liked him."
Aquina couldn't believe it. His closest and childhood friend was actually in-love with him. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that you like him, Tsubaki. Maybe, I should just help you get close to him. I'll forget my own feelings for him, then."
Tsubaki stared at her as if she's crazy after she dried her own tears. "Why would I ask for your help? Kousei can never really see me as more than a friend anymore. Kousei had Kaori before. Now, Kousei had you by his side. Kousei easily falls for anyone who fixes him up. I had been with him for years but I never had a chance to fix him. Aquina, if he says he likes you, it's real. Please don't let him be in despair since you kept on refusing him."
"But, I'm afraid that Kousei's only using me as a replacement. I don't know how deep his love is for the girl named Miyazono Kaori. What if she return back and all of his memories of her return? It would only break me if he chooses Kaori," she cried. "How can I trust his feelings for me?"
Tsubaki knew that she's telling the truth. It's frightening to actually fall for someone who doesn't remember his past. She hugged her to comfort her feelings and destroy her doubts. "Accept him. When the time Kousei remembers everything, it won't be us who'd choose who he really loves. We just need to be happy in our present, right? Let him feel how much you love him, Your Highness."
Aquina hugged her tighter. "Arigatou gozaimasu, Tsubaki-chan."
