LIAM'S POV

I question her sometimes... But I still love her! Is it weird to find her odd perplexity cute? She forgot her birthday, now I know what you are saying, we just got in a fight, but hell I made it up pretty well! Don't cha think? I'm just so bad ass. The boys started Gotta Be You, her smile just spread wider over her face as she turned around. "So it's February... Jeez how long was I gone?" She mumbled thinking nobody heard her, "A year and two months, and yes it's February, so Maddie. Happy birthday!" She enveloped me in a nice hug as the tears started to prickle her almond shaped eyes.

We were now home, where awaited another surprise. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" We stepped into the house where the boys decided to throw Maddie a party, well it was us (the boys) and Eleanor. But that was okay, just great friends! "Oh my God! This is, ahh!" She was cut off short when Eleanor grabbed her and hugged her swinging her around. They both laughed, "Thanks El!" I whispered in her ear after Maddie went upstairs to change.

MADDIE'S POV

Here I am sitting on my bed on my 19th birthday, I forgot about it... I guess time flew by why I was at home. I'm sitting here thinking about everything. My family, my friends, the boys and Liam. So much has happened, sometimes we forget. The problem with me, I get so caught up in the past, and that keeps me from enjoying the present.

It's hard being away from my family, but at the same time I need to, I can't just stay in that house where my nightmares still haunt me. Being in London, with the boys, Liam, the help me. They've helped me become who I am today. Now don't ask me why I am here in my room by myself on my birthday. I guess I'm just scared, scared of the fact that I can lose them. They could just slip away, like Danielle. He kissed her, no let me rephrase, SNOGGED her. Okay the tears are starting to come and there is loud music downstairs. I need to get ahold of myself.

There was a knock on the door, "Maddie? Babe you alright?" I wiped my tears away and walked out, "Yup. I'm fine thanks!" Liam looked at me, "No you're not, what's up?" I didn't want to talk about it right now, I just wanted to drink it away. A problem I had in high school, drinking the pain away... God I was a wreck. Maddie enjoy the present, forget the past; it's over. "I want to talk about it later, not now." He just smiled at me, "I'm not letting this go. But come on, let's enjoy the party."
