Chapter 2
Hayley Williams P.O.V
I instantly bite my lip in panic as Jeremy approached me. I was hoping no one had noticed and I did my best to cover it. "What happened?" He repeats again, in a stern tone. Panic rises in me. "What do you mean?" I give him a confused look, hoping he will fall for it. "Oh, don't give me that, Hayley. I can see that huge mark on your face. Did something 'happen' at home?" He put emphasis on the word happen. He knows all about my parents fighting. "No." I sigh. "They were fighting when I got home and I did get in the middle of it to get them away from each other, but I only got hit in the shoulder on accident... This.. Well this.." I struggled to find the right words. How could I tell Jeremy this? He would flip. "This.. was... my ex.." I couldn't stand to say his name after what's he done, at least not yet. Jeremy instantly displays his anger, with narrowed eyes and tight fists. "That bastard... I'm going to kill him.. How?.. H-how could he do that?? You don't hit a girl, EVER!" He yelled louder and louder through clenched teeth. I fought back tears as I turned away, on to my next class.
Jeremy Davis P.O.V
I watch Hayley run off, knowing I reopened some fading wounds. I couldn't believe it. How could that asshole do such a thing? I'm going to hurt him, he won't get away with it. I try to suppress my anger as I walk off, back to Taylor, Joe, and Andy. Their reactions will be the same as mine. I trudge through the halls, pushing past everyone, some questioning my anger. The guys stand just before me, maintaining their worried expressions and pacing. "what is it?" Taylor blurts as soon as he sees me. I take a deep breath and begin to explain everything.
