The sun had set and it was time to meet Caleb for our race. I hugged Coconut and walked out to my car and got in. I could feel the sadness and depression, the thought of never seeing Coconut or any of them again. No. I wasn't letting that happen. I drove to the top of the mountain where I stopped next to Caleb. He rolled his window down.
"You remember me don't you, I don't think you do, if you did we wouldn't be here right now." He said.
"Shut up and drive you prick." I said coldly.
(Damn Royal)
We were flagged by who I could only imagine was a member of the wraith street racing gang on a count of his red and black jacket. We were off, naturally I took the lead as I should. The winding turns of the mountain were too sharp for the power of Calebs GTO so I gained a big lead.
I looked in my rear view to see if he was still there, half way down the highway I noticed a set of headlights drift onto the highway. We crossed over the main bridge that connected the mountains with the rest of the highway. I ripped the e-break and drifted down the off ramp and back into the main city.
The world became a blurr as I flee past the shipping yard, then a police station, I saw a coo flip his lights on but it was no use, I was long gone. Up a hill onto a small highway which lead to another turn. Hime stretch. I looked in my rearview and saw Caleb's GTO on my rear.
I shifted into sixth and floored it. The bakery was coming up but Caleb wasn't far behind. Caleb swerved into the lane next to me and started to gain.
"Drafter." I said to myself
Caleb started to pull past me.
"I didn't come this far to lose everything." I said slamming my thumbs onto the nos buttons on my steering wheel.
I flew ahead of Caleb as the bakery zipped past. I slammed on the breaks as Caleb slammed his. I pulled into the bakery parking lot followed by Caleb. He stepped out of his car as one of the wraiths pulled up in their car.
"The keys are in the car, enjoy it while it lasts, there's always someone who's a little faster than you are and one day their gonna catch up." Caleb said as he got in the wraiths car and drove off.
I ran inside and hugged Coconut and handed her the keys to her new car.
"You won?" She asked.
"Did you have any doubt?" I asked
"A-A little." She said.
I placed a hand over my heart and faked being hurt. "Ooo, ahh, Coconut I'm hurt." I said.
Coconut giggled and hugged me.
"Come on, this calls for celebration." Coconut said.
"What do you have planed?" I asked.
"Hmm, when is your birthday?" Coconut asked.
"On easter." I replied.
Coconuts eyes widened. "So you're birthday is in three days?" She asked.
"Yep, why?" I asked.
Coconut smirked. "I'll have to be a little quicker then I had hopped but I think Connamon, Karol and I can put something together." She said heading upstairs.
What do you think Coconut has planned? Stay tuned.
