Ch.22 joining Rogue Speed

I sat on the end of my car thinking about what Ox had said a few days ago at RaceWarz. About me joining Rogue Speed, I told Karol that I wanted to stay with my crew, however she gave me her number incase I changed my mind.

"Thinking on whether or not to join Rogue Speed Royal?" A quiet voice said.

I looked up and saw Vanilla, it was odd, its like Vanilla always came around when I needed advice or help with something. Mayne she was just good at reading people.

"How did you know that?" I asked

She smiled. "You're easy to read Royal, you're like a Manga spread out for every one to gaze at its fine artwork.

"Are you giving me advice or are you complementing my Appearance?" I asked

"That depends, which do you want?" Vanilla asked with a sly grin.

"I would prefer advice, because I already have two neko's."

"Hmm, when did the second wheel get added?" She asked

"A few days ago, why?" I asked

"Pastry puffer." Vanilla smirked

"Like you aren't." I said

"I am not." She laughed.

"Yeah you are, you, Chocola, and Kashou think you're all slick, y'all was making love in the bath room." I said

"Alright, you've made your point." She said

"Now, Can we return to the question at hand, should I join Rogue Speed or not?" I asked

"Well, what do you think?" Vanilla asked

"I want to take my career to greater heights, but I don't want to leave you guys behind." I say

"You won't be leaving us behind, we all welcome you here." Vanilla said

"Its not that its....." I trailed off.

"Your worried about Coconut aren't you?" Vanilla asked

"Yeah, I'm worried she'll feel forgotten, that I'm choosing my racing career over her." I said

"Take her with you then." Vanilla suggested

"What, but Rogue Speed is a five person team." I said

"True, but did you ever find it weird how you only faced three drivers that day you raced them?" Vanilla asked

"Well, yeah that was kind of odd." I said

"That's because two members quit, there's two spots open one for you and one for Coconut." Vanilla said

"I'm gonna do it."

"Good luck." Vanilla waved.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Karols number, I heard a few rings before she answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey Karol, its Royal."

"Oh hey, so you've considered joining Rogue Speed?"

"I have and I know a fifth person we can add."

"And who's that?"

"My girlfriend, Coconut, you remeber her right?"

"Right, neko, long blonde hair."

"Right, her."

"So what does she drive?"

"A 1965 Mustang fastback, blown 454 V8, 1,000 horse power ready to take the drag strip by storm."

"Sounds interesting, you already qualify for Rogue Speed, however, Coconut will have to Race me and win to qualify."

"I'll tell her the news, see you at the next Rogue Speed event, we'll see if she qualifies there."

"I'll be looking forward to it."

Karol hung up and a chill ran down my spine. Yes, Coconut had a fast car, did she ever race it, no, she's never experienced the raw power of that Mustang, we have two weeks until Rogue Speed weekend, time to tell her. I walked downstairs and found Coconut in tears, what's she crying about? I thought, I sat next to her and wrapped my arms around her.

"What are you crying about Coconut?" I asked

"Well.....its just, I'v always wanted to race but I never get the chance."

"That's why I want you to come join Rogue Speed with me, there's two spots open, I already qualify, however you have to race Karol to qualify for the team, I want my Neko by my side at all times." I said

"Well, what about Cinnamon?" Coconut asked

"I doubt Rogue Speed would take Supercars, maybe she could join Nitrocide, their all about speed."

"Now, we have two weeks to get you trained on how your car handles at high speeds, and for you to get used to it before we go to Rogue Speed weekend to race Karol."

"Y-You mean I'll be racing i-in front of a large crowd of people?" Coconut asked

"Relax, that's why we're gonna train you in drag racing." I say.

"Okay, so long as its with you." She smiled.

"So lets get to it." I say.
