I stopped at an intersection waiting for my turn to keep going when a sign caught my eye.

The words "Welcome to Ventura Bay." Were plastered on it.

"Ventura Bay huh, sounds like a nice place." I say to myself.

My names Royal by the way I guess you could say that was my Racer name, or at least that's what people thought. You see I grew up in a city called Olympic city where I started street racing. Eventually I met a girl named Sam who offered to help me start up.

I was given a 97 Honda Type-R to get started and eventually made my way to the top where I took on the legend or former legend Eddie. Eddie was your typical jock looking popular guy you'd see in high school, anyway his car on the other hand was no joke. A 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 V-spec 2, this thing WAS a beast.

But like all, the bigger they are the harder they fall. After that I moved on to Bayview, Rockport, Palmont, Fair haven, now I want to take on the legal racing but where to start?

Within a few hours I had entered Ventura Bay and headed for this cafe called La so laiel, I had heard about it and I figured I'd at least check it out. After a bit of searching and asking around I eventually found it. I parked my 1994 Toyota Supra TRD and noticed a red 180SX with black bumpers and side skirts parked next to a silver 1993 Nissan Skyline R32.

"Is this the hangout for the racers in the city?" I asked myself. I stepped out of my car and walked to the door of the cafe and opened the door followed by the ding of a bell.

"Welcome." I heard a cheerful voice say.

I looked to my left and saw a girl not much shorter than me with brown hair tied into two large pigtails and wearing a black and white maid outfit fashioned with a pink hart shaped name bage that read chocola, but the thing I found odd about her was the cat ears on her head and a cats tail, I brushed it off as part of the uniform since other employees had them.

"oh, thanks for the welcome miss...chocola."

"Not a problem, so will you be eating by yourself?" She asked.

"Yeah."

I was soon brought to my table and was given a menu, after I had ordered I looked around trying to guess who the owner of the 180SX was, that was when I heard a familiar voice.

"Kashou, where do you want these parts?"

"Are they for my skyline?" I heard a voice reply.

"Yeah."

"Put them in the garage next to Chocola's R34."

I nearly choked on my tea when I saw Ox my friend from Rockport walking out the front door of the cafe. When he came back in I looked at him and said, "Been a long time kid."

He looked over at me.

"Royal, from Rockport?" He asked.

"Glad to see you still remember, have a seat."

"So, how are things?" I asked.

"Still rocking the 180SX a
Parked out front."

"Oh that's yours, I barely recognized it, wasn't it silver when I last saw it?" I asked.

"Yeah, I wanted a sort of rebel look to it so I painted it red and the bumpers black."

"Really going after that Ryan Cooper look huh." I replied.

"That car is beautiful for looking like it was salvaged from a junk yard." Ox said.

"But it was though." I replied.

"Anyway, who drives the older skyline?" I asked.

"Kashou, he owns the cafe."

"Wait, Kashou Miniduki?"

"The very one, why."

"He and I went to high school together, anyway its a little degrading to make your employees wear cat ears and tails don't you think?" I asked.

Ox let out a chuckle that slowly became a laugh and said, "there real cat ears and tails, I should know, I'm dating Maple over there." He said pointing to a brunette catgirl.

"Damn bro nice catch, tell me does she enjoy fish sticks?"

"She enjoys mine." He replied
(Air horns)

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I knew it would make you cringe, anyway how's Rockports blacklist racers treating you?"

"I took down each one, one by one and I bolted for the old bridge out of there, and went back to palmont for a while, now I'm here."

"You beat then all, even Ra-

"Yes, even him."

"Jesus, well if you need a place to stay Kashou has plenty of vacant living space upstairs."

"Upstairs?" I asked.

"Yeah thos bakery is under an apartment, big one at that if I can love here with him and his six cat girls then yeah, the place is pretty big."

"Well what about my car?" I asked.

"Just put it in the garage with everyone else's." Ox replied.

"Everyone else's cars, show me."
