Ch.9 Coconut's past and new love

*Coconut's dream*

"You don't look at another man, you don't talk to another man, and if I find out that you've touched another man I'll beat you senseless, you understand.........ANSWER ME!

"Y-Yes!"

*smack*

"Don't. Ever. Raise you voice at me, now coco sweat heart, it hurts me to have to do this, but I will if I have too."

"You don't have to do this Clarence."

*smack* *smack*

"Don't. Call me. Clarence."

*fast forward*

"Come on Coco, don't leave me....we can fix this."

*she runs*

"Fine, you wanna leave me, go, no one will love you like I did."

*fast forward*

"Hey, my names Kashou, and this is my little sister Shigure, are you a lost neko?"

"You could say that....."

"What happened?"

"I ran from my master....he was physically abusive...."

"You poor thing." Shigure said crying a bit.

"My sister and I take abandoned and homeless neko's into our family, you'd be the sixth one."

*end dream*

(Coconut's point of view)

I woke up in cold sweat, why did I dream of him, why did those traumatic memories return? Tears were flowing from my eye's.

"Why, why, why?" I kept repeating.

"Please don't come back, don't let HIM find me."

(Royal's point of view.)

I walked into Coconut's room upon hearing a faint sobbing from behind the door, I walked in and saw Coconut sitting at the end of her bed with her knees drawn to her chest and he face buried in her lap. I walked in and sat next to her without a sound, slid her onto my lap and put one arm around her and with the other gently stroked her hair and petted her ears.

Coconut looked over her shoulder at me. "Kashou-nii? Oh, hey Royal." She said wiping tears away.

"Are you okay Coconut?" I asked worried.

She shook her head.

"Well what's bothering you?" I asked continuing to pet her head.

"I-I had a nightmare, t-that my original owner was coming to take me back."

"Original owner?" I asked

"Yeah, Neko are adopted into families as pets or even partners to humans and they become our owners."

"I see, so this guy, who is he?" I asked

"His name was Clarence, he was physically abusive towards me, I made the mistake of falling in love with him. He was sweet at first, always wanting to be by my side, that was when I met his friend Ronny, Clarence saw me talking to Ronny and thought I was cheating on him.......after that he never let me leave the house, he always took me with him wherever he went, and then the abuse followed.

"Jesus, coconut I'm sorry." I say

"Its fine, he's doesn't even know where I am and probably has a molly cat girl by now."

"Um, a molly cat girl?" I asked

"Its basically a neko that's a prostitute," coconut replied.

"Sounds like the kind of guy he'd be." I say.

" I just want a person I can fall in love with, someone who actually cares for me." Coconut said

"Someone who will listen to me."

Coconut turned sideways to look at me.
"Someone who can be there for me when I need them."

"Someone I can trust."

Coconut and I stared into each others eye's, I never noticed before, but her eye's are different colors, in fact she has a nice body to- wait what am I thinking? I love her yes but I don't want to think about her like that, but I can't stop thinking about how beautiful she looks, I had to tell her how I felt.

"Coconut....I....I love you." I say

"I love you too Royal, but......are you sure you can be with a cat girl, especially one like me who's so......broken?"

"Of course I can Coconut, and no matter the looks people give us, or things they say about us, I'll always be here to love and care for you, and when you feel broken I want you to come find me and I'll pick up the peaces."

She smiled as more tears flowed from her eye's, I wiped them away and was met with a kiss from Coconut, my eye's went wide at first but slowly closed. I made the right choice, it was my job now to care for her. I won't be another Clarence.
