MANIK'S POV

A small smile was playing on my lips because today I made her happy. In these few days I just saw her all sad or smiling which didn't reached her eyes. I asked her to take a leave not for practice but to spend some time with her.

We weren't able to talk much in the cabaret but who's complaining. She was smiling a genuine smile. She was excited like a little child.
I didn't planned a date or something just a normal, simple dinner where we can talk & enjoy.

I saw nandini from the corner of my eyes & she was fidgeting with the hem of her top.

"Nandini you want to say something?" I asked softly.

"No, I mean yes ugh!  Can we eat ice cream somewhere?"

"Sure nandini. You just need to order me." I said smiling at her nervousness.

I saw baskin robins & parked the car.

I opened my door & walked to her side to open her door. She smiled at me & I smiled back.

We sat near a window seat. This was a fancy parlour so there were many varieties.

A tall fair brunette in her 20s walked towards our Booth to take our orders.
Her face was caked with makeup & she was wearing a 4-inched heels. Damn why girls wear such a long heels & didn't end up falling. If I wear heels na then I bet 100 bucks that I will end up falling on my face as soon as I wear 'em. No pun intended at all.

I move my gaze away from that brunette to nandini & saw her glaring at me.
Ugh! Why me? She thought I was checking her out. No.

That brunette named Sasha that was written on her batch asked for our orders.

"Chocochip cookie dough ice-cream for me." She said giving a fakest smile ever.

"And what would you like to have sir." Sasha asked battling her lashes innocently. I think her fake lashes are going to fall.

Well women stop that right now or else nandini will pounce on me  & will never talk to me. I got her to normal & now miss fake eyelashes is tryin' to ruin my love story. Why me?

"Mm just a peppermint ice-cream for me please. Thank you." I gave my order & moved uncomfortablely on my seat.

"So" nandini said in a calm yet dangerous tone & kept her arms on the table & leaning a little.

"So?" I asked in a croaked voice.

Damn what's wrong with me it's just nandini. She won't eat me up. Be a man manik.
But I am a man. Ugh!  Whatever.

"So?" I asked skeptically.

"In these years how many girls you have dated. I mean you are handsome & famous so many girls would be behind you." She asked tapping her nails on the table.

What? She really thinks i will date someone else. Ha! I have spent these five years in search of her. Like yeah I will see anyone else's face except her.

"Why? Nandini are you jealous?" I asked with a smirk & leaning in.

"Keep your smart ass questions to yourself & answer me Malhotra." She said with a sweet smile.

"Yeah there was one." I said dreamily.

Her expressions went blank & I smirked with victory.

"Who was she?" She asked looking down.

"Ha Thi koi college mei but fir wo mujhe akela chhod ke chali gayi & then I spent all these like a devdas." I finished my sad story & she looked at me with a wide smile.
