"Nandini come fast you are getting late." Navya shouted from the dining table.

"Coming don't shout my head is hurting." Nandini said lazily and sat on the chair besides navya.

She started munching her cereal.

"You just had one night shift yesterday and you are so tired." Navya said rolling her eyes.

"I had a night shift and now it's 1 in the afternoon and I have to go again. Give me a break." She replied resting her head on navya's shoulder.

"It will be alright." Navya said patting her head.

"You don't visit manik nowadays what's up." Navya asked caressing her hair.

"He's busy with some foreign project and I don't even have the time to talk to him. It's been two days we last talked." Nandini said with her eyes closed.

The door bell rang interrupting them.
Navya got up and opened the door.

"Who's it navya?" Nandini shouted from behind.

"Jiska tumhe barso se intezaar tha."

Nandini rolled her eyes.

"You even smell like drama." Nandini said.

"Yeah yeah whatever I just came to pick you up. Bhalayi ka toh zamana hi nahi raha ab toh." Aryaman said sitting besides nandini.

Nandini was going to say something when arya interrupted.

"Okay fine I will work in a soap opera." He said saying nandini's words.

"Aaye samajhdaar ho gaya hai apna ladka." Nandini said patting his shoulder.

"Well hello to you too arya I think Mumbai mein aake tum hume bhool hi gaye ho. Theek hai dekhli bas tumhari dosti." Navya said dramatically.

"Arre jaaneman tumhe kaise bhool sakta hoo. You are the ultimate reason of my survival." Aryaman said squeezing navya in a hug.

"Alright if you two are done can we go I'm already late." Nandini said taking her bag.
They bid bye to navya and gave a quick hug to her.

They reached the hospital in no time.
They were walking to their respective cabins when kartik came.

"Hey nandini." He wished her cheerfully.

"Hi kartik." She said awkwardly.

"You didn't told me that manik is your boyfriend." He said in a serious tone.

"Umm wo---" nandini fumbled.

"Abey CID ke ACP pradyuman you are not her friend but a mere colleague so strangers should know their limit. She doesn't even know you properly and you are asking her about her personal life. Tsk tsk very bad." Aryaman said funnily but in a threatening tone.

"I'm sorry I will just leave." Kartik said hastily and left immediately. Nandini sighed in relief.

"If you don't like him then why do you even bother to talk to him." He said throwing his arm around her shoulders.

Nandini looked at him amused.

"How do you know that?"

"I know you from three years chhutki." He said and winked at her.

"Who is chhutki? Where is chhutki?" She said looking here and there.
Arya looked at her with a poker face and she immediately came out of his grasp.

"Listen Mister I'm not short I'm just more down to earth." She said flipping her hair.

"Fine miss down to earth now let me go I'm already late." He said and immediately left from there.
