Manik's pov

The sunlight hit my face and I stirred in my sleep. I opened my eyes lazily and saw munchkin. My munchkin.

She's the prettiest girl in the entire world and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. I will do anything and everything to protect her from every evil.

I kissed her forehead and tried to come out but her grip was so tight. She's been acting weird since the accident. I assured her so many times that I'm okay but she refused to believe me. I have no idea what's wrong with her.

After lots of effort I came out of her hold and went to freshen up. I got ready quickly and went to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee when two tiny hands encircled my stomach from behind and I smiled knowing who is it.

She's all ready in her bunny white tee and pyjama shorts because she can't breathe properly in jeans. Her logics I tell ya.

"Morning." She said pecking my lips taking me by surprise. She's not the one who's all touchy touchy. It's me actually and I'm not afraid to say that out loud.

"Very good morning munchkin." I said kissing her cheeks lightly.

"Why are you all ready early morning?" She asked keeping her head on my chest.

"Got an important work at office." I said encaging her in a hug.

"Don't go." She said lowly and tightened her hold on me. She's not herself. I will ask her once I'm back.

"I will come back soon. I promise." I whispered in her ear tugging it softly and she closed her eyes.

"Okay." She said and broke the hug.

I sat on the dining table with my coffee when nandini came and made herself comfortable on my lap keeping her head on my chest.

I sipped my coffee and decided to break the silence.

"Do you want to tell me something?" I asked caressing her hand with my thumb.

"No." She mumbled.

"Do you want to tell me later?"

"No."

Now there is something definitely wrong with her. One word talks. Nope not my nandini. I decided to dismiss the matter for now.

"Can I go?" I asked looking in her eyes.
"Yeah." She said getting up from me and I immediately missed her warmth. Call me love sick or something else because I. Don't. Care.

I pecked her forehead after bidding her bye when a tug on my hand stopped me.

I turned around and it was nandini looking at me lovingly. She stood in front of me tip toeing and placed her soft petal like lips on mine.

She started moving her lips and I responded by biting her lower lip holding her on place by cupping her face.

Her kiss was different this time. No rush or anything. She took her sweet time to explore my mouth with our tongues tangling with each other.

I couldn't guess what was different in this kiss but something was. After what seems like eternity we broke apart panting hard. Our foreheads resting with each other.

"Manik." She said gaining her breath and I just hmmed.

"I love you." She whispered over my lips emotionally and I opened my eyes looking straight in her eyes which were sad? It's not like everyday she says that to me.

"I love you too." I said pecking her lips and parted my way with her.

We have to talk when I will come back in afternoon.
