Brooke's POV

"Stephanie and Jake are coming over, get ready." I said to Drew as I came back into the bedroom in just a towel from my shower.
"I'd rather watch you change." He smirked, watching me as I routed through the wardrobe that we had hung our clothes in.
"Kinky." I giggled, pulling out some black skinny jeans and an over sized maroon jumper that was that big it fell off my shoulder slightly.

"You can either get out or get changed, what are you choosing mister?" I asked, turning to face him.
"Getting food." He grinned, standing up and walking out of the bedroom. That wasn't one of the options but at least I can change in peace now.

Once my clean clothes were on, I brushed through my dirty blonde hair. I considered dying it a brown a couple of years ago. It would make me look older than I actually am. Hmmm... that's still something to consider.
Minimal makeup was applied to my face, mascara and some powder.
I checked myself over in the mirror before deciding that I looked ok and I wandered out to the kitchen area where Drew sat, reading a newspaper.

"You're married to Steph?" Drew asked, frowning, looking up at me from the paper.
"What?" I asked, laughing.
"Read here." He chuckled, twisting the newspaper around and gently tapping his index finger on the page. I furrowed my eyebrows, walking over to it and tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear to see an article about Steph and I and a picture of her slipping the ring on my finger.
"Oh my goodness." I gasped, fighting back a laugh.
"I was going to ask you to explain but it seems as though there's not really much to explain." Drew said, pulling the paper back towards him.
"Long story short, my ring fell off and steph picked it up, putting it back on my finger for me. Those people randomly turned up and just cheered. It was very strange." I laughed, grabbing a grape out of his bowl and popping it in my mouth.
"At least you didn't lose the ring, I guess." Drew laughed as did I. That must mean me borrowing Steph's ring worked. He didn't notice. Whoop whoop.

"Why'd you bring lee?" I asked Steph as we stood in the kitchen making drinks whilst the boys sat in the living room probably making no conversation whatsoever.
"Why not bring lee? You guys seem fine." She frowned, getting some mugs out for me.
"We are fine but things just feel awkward when I'm with Lee and Drew in the same room." I explained.
"They're fine." She said, popping the kettle on.
"Fine making no conversation at all in there?" I asked.
"Maybe it's for the best if they don't communicate. That way, Lee can't blurt something out from the past." Steph said and I sighed in agreement.
"I guess." I said as drews phone went off from the kitchen table.

I shifted my gaze towards it. Do I look at it or not? I mean, it's none of my business but I'm just nosey.
"Do you trust him?" Stephanie asked and my eyebrows instantly knitted together.
"Trust who? Drew?" I asked.
"Yes. I saw the way you just looked at his phone." She said with an eyebrow raised.
"Of course I trust him." I said. I wasn't lying. I really did trust him.
"Then why does your look tell me something completely different?" She asked as the kettle finished boiling.
"This is my normal face." I said, grabbing the kettle and slowly pouring the hot water into the mugs that Steph had previously put everything in.
"If you say so." She sighed before grabbing two mugs and walking off into the living room.

Once I was sure she had gone, I quickly looked over at drews phone again. Why am I like this?
I walked over to it and picked it up from the table to see a text message from an unknown number.

FROM UNKNOWN
I know you're a douche and all but I could really use you as a drinking buddy. Meet me at the pub at 7 tonight x

I frowned. What the hell? Who is this?

I quickly put the phone down on the table again as Drew walked in with a smile on his face. I'm just going to pretend I didn't read anything and just see if he goes out tonight. I guess I'll just take it from there.

"Is everything ok?" He asked and I nodded, forcing a smile.
"Yeah, everything's fine. Will you give me a hand?" I asked, walking over and picking up two more mugs.
"Uh sure." He said, obviously noticing my weird sudden mood.

I walked in the living room and handed Lee a drink and placed one down on the coffee table for myself.

All that is running around in my mind right now is who the hell was that? Was it a boy or a girl? Please be a boy.

------------------
7 came around quicker than I thought and I watched as Drew slipped on a jacket. He's going, isn't he?

"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm going to a friends place. He wants to catch up." He said, leaning over and placing a soft kiss on my lips. Why is he now lying to me?
"Ok. When will you be back?" I asked.
"I have no clue. It won't be late. I love you baby." He said and I nodded before he walked out of the house.

The only way I'm going to find this out without bringing it up to him is to spy on him.

Let's hope I don't get caught...
