Brooke's POV

"Hello baby boy." I squealed as Rufus ran up to me, pouncing up and licking my face.
"Have you been a good boy?" I asked, expecting an answer that was never going to happen.

He soon jumped down and charged towards Lee, leaving me to talk with Jake and Steph.
"Have you gotten sexier?" Steph laughed, pulling me in for a hug.
"Shush you." I giggled before hugging my cousin.
"How was Paris?" Jake asked, walking past me to sit on the sofa next to Lee.
"Brilliant." I said, completely dodging the fact that we have some guy after us. My life right now would possibly make the best TV show ever.
"That's go-" Steph started before squealing. Woah, what now?
I furrowed my eyebrows at her and she just held my hand up so I could see my ring. Well, now she knows.
"I told you so." She screamed, pulling me in for a bear hug. My ribs are getting crushed, someone save me.
"What are you on about?" Lee asked from the sofa.
"You guys are getting married." Steph squealed, pulling away from the hug and running over to Lee where she engulfed him in a bone crushing hug also.

Jake choked on air and widened his eyes.
"When did this happen?" He asked.
"New Years Eve." I replied.
"But wouldn't it have been New Year's Day? I proposed bang on midnight so that's basically the day." Lee said.
"Whatever Mr know it all." I giggled, placing myself down on the one seater sofa. Steph came over and sat down on my lap.
"Ahh this is comfy." She sighed happily.
"Yep, for you maybe but for me, that's another story." I struggled to get out, pushing her off me so I could move up for her to sit next to me. She laughed and placed herself beside me, cuddling up to me.

Rufus then started barking at the back door and I looked to Lee who was already looking at me.
"Be a good fiancé and let the dog out please." I giggled and he stuck his tongue out at me but let Rufus out the back where he barked a bit before running back in. Well that was strange. Lee had literally just sat down aswell and he sighed.
"Just leave it open." I said as he went to get up to close it again. He nodded before him and Jake started talking.

"So tell me, how did he propose?" Steph asked with a grin.
"Just like you said, New Years Eve, or day whatever you want to say, under the fireworks. It was like everyone's dream proposal." I giggled, thinking back to that night but then a getting a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. Creepy dude was there that night.
"Isn't Steph a genius." She laughed, taking my hand and examining my ring.
"It looks super expensive." She whispered so the boys couldn't hear her.
"I wouldn't have cared if it was a cheap Poundland ring, it's the thought that counts." I laughed, taking my hand away from her and twiddling the ring around on my fingers.

Rufus started barking again and I frowned.
"What is he barking at?" I asked, standing up and walking into the garden where Rufus stood, barking at the top of the fence. Nothing's there. I then gulped as I heard someone wince. Who ever or what that was hurt itself. I peered over the fence and saw the back of someone's head, running away with a camera in his hand. It's him, he was just looking over our fence. My eyes widened and I gritted my teeth, storming off into the house, grabbing my car keys and ignoring my name being called from everyone in the house. I have to find this person.

--------------------
Who knew that one person could get away faster than I in a car. I got so close to the dude aswell but he ran through an alley way which I obviously couldn't fit through in my car. Shit.

I pulled back outside the house. As horrible as it sounds, I'm kind of hoping Jake and Steph have gone home as I need to speak to Lee about the situation.
However, all that hoping was for nothing as when I walked in, all heads turned in my direction.
"Where did you go?" Jake asked, coming up to me with his arms folded across his chest.
"Turns out Rufus was barking at a dead bird, I just rushed it to bird hospital." I lied, laughing slightly. WORST LIE EVER.
"Bird hospital? That's a thing?" Steph asked and I looked at Lee, giving him a look as if to say 'help me'.
"Uh- yeah, you should totally go and visit it." Lee said, placing Jakes car keys in Stephs hands and pushing them both towards the door.
"Something smells fishy here." Jake said, stopping Lee from pushing them any further.
"Yes, that's the tuna in the cupboard." I laughed, hoping they'd just quickly leave.
"What's really going on?" Steph asked, placing jakes car keys back on the hallway dresser.
"Alright, fine." I sighed. I need to come up with a lie quickly.
"Lee, would you like to tell them?" I asked and his eyes widened.
"I'm sure they'd like to hear it coming from you." He chuckled nervously.
"I'm sure they wouldn't." I said.
"Someone just tell us." Jake said, stopping Lee and I from arguing any further.
"Someone is watching us." I sighed. Telling them a lie was a bad thing that we'd possibly have to continue so I decided on telling them the truth. They wouldn't tell anyone, right?
"What do you mean?" Steph asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Ever since Paris, that we know of, some dude has been watching and following our every move, capturing any moment he can on that stupid little camera of his." I explained.
"Long story short, he's the guy Rufus was barking at. I saw him running so I wanted to catch him." I said.
"Have you contacted the police?" Jake asked.
"No." Lee replied.
"Why not?" Steph asked.
"Maybe because whoever it is, is getting revenge. God knows what he has on that camera. He could have very private things that he could leak if we tell someone." Lee said.
"Then why are you telling us?" Jake asked.
"Because you've literally just given us no choice." I said, folding my arms over my chest.
"That's not true." Steph said and I cocked an eyebrow at her.
"Ok, maybe it's a little true but that's not the point. Someone else, other than us, need to know about this." Steph added.
"You can't tell anyone." I said, grabbing her arm as she went to pull down the door handle.
"It's important though. Someone's invading your privacy." She argued.
"Steph, Brooke is right. If it was the other way around and it was us, we wouldn't want to tell anyone. They're scared of what could be on that camera. This should just stay between us." Jake said and Lee gave him a small smile.
"Ugh fine, I won't tell anyone but if you're ever about to catch him, you ring us and we'll go all scoobydoo on him." She said and I laughed slightly.
"Alright gang, we've got a mystery to solve." I giggled, holding my hand out.
"Who's in?" I asked.
"I'm in." Lee smiled, placing his hand on top of mine.
"Count me in." Steph said, holding her hand out on top of Lee's. All heads turned in Jakes direction.
"Fine, I'm in." He groaned, placing his hand on top of Stephs and I grinned.

Finding out who this guy is should be easier with four people than two. Plus, because this guy ran away, he doesn't know that Jake and Steph are in on our mystery solving.
