Is that all?

You drove to the only place you could think safe.

You drove to an old apartment complex you used to live at, before it was demolished. The park right beside it was where you felt truly free. That was the place that started the beginning of your life.

You put the car in park and go directly to the empty swings and sit down. This is where you were meant to be right now.

~David's POV~

"How do you not know where she went?!" Abbie was yelling.

You looked at Tyler, who was trying to comfort Grace. (Y/N) had told you she was quiet, but you didn't really expect it to be like this.

Abbie continued yelling at Brock while Brock stood there, unfazed.

Grace finally spoke up. "I have a feeling she's fine."

Tyler was probably the most shocked she spoke.

Abbie looked at her. "What?"

"She's perfectly okay."

"How would you know?" Brian asked.

"Because. She just does." Tyler chipped in.

"Because Brock obviously knows she's fine. Or else he'd be profusely apologizing because she would actually be in danger. So Brock is hiding something from us, no he probably won't tell us, per (Y/N)'s request, and yes I have a feeling I know where it is."

Everyone stared at her.

"And no, I will not take you to her."

Tyler nods. "Okay. Can we take ourselves?"

She shrugs. "Can you?"

Tyler's face becomes a bitch face in 2.5 seconds. "Whatever dude."

Craig sighs. "Can you both, I dunno, not."

"Yeah.... This is a bit annoying." You add.

It was a bit childish.

You stood up and walk out the door.

Brian followed you. "Where are you goin?"

You felt a heavy tension in your body. "Out."

~Your POV~

You sat swinging high. You felt like a bird, with nothing holding you down.

You look at cars drive by, then one in particular. A Dodge Challenger. Your Dodge Challenger. You could tell by the slick black paint, and the brown leather interior.

It pulled into the park and stopped the lights clicked off as you kept swinging.

David walks over to you and sits. "Are you okay?" his voice was small and delicate.

"Yeah....." yours matched his almost perfectly. You stopped swinging and sighed.

"I'm sorry that all of this has happened. I really don't know how you handled it. Because I was a wreck." he took your hand.

"It's okay. And you aren't alone. I was like a semi crashed into a gasoline truck. It was awful. I can't even put it into words." your voice faltered a bit at the end.

He stood up pulling you into a hug, putting his chin over your head, very protectively. "I'm so sorry. I just-"

"Stop talking." You say.

"Right sorry."

A few minutes pass. "David, I really want to say sorry."

He looked genuinely confused. "You did nothing wrong."

"I am just a dick. I mean, that's how I am. And I want to apologize just in case I've hurt your feelings. That's been bugging me the entire time. I had so much time to think and reflect on how mean I am to everyone."

"(Y/N) you are practically an angel. You need to be less harsh on yourself. We all love you. Is that all?"

You nod. "Yeah, that's all."

He smiles. "Then let's go home."

You heart shattered as he said that. "Home?"

He stops. "Yeah. We are going to go home. If that's okay?"

"Yes. Of course." your voice cracked.

"Are ye sure you're okay?" he grabbed both of your shoulders and looked into your (color choice) eyes. "Please don't lie to me. I am trying so hard to understand, or at least wrap my head around the past events leading up to this very moment. I need all the help I can possibly get. Please just tell me."

You stare into his eyes. "It's nothing I promise Daithi."

He smiled a little bit at that. "Then let's go."

"Can we swing for just a little bit?"

"Okay. I don't see why not."

After a little while of swinging, you both just roamed the empty park talking about random nothingness.

One hour later.......

David opened the passenger door. And you got in.

"Radio?"

You nod.

It was silent for a moment. Then Hurt by Johnny Cash started playing.

David put his hand on the stereo about to turn it off.

"No." You had a sad tone. "I like this song."

"Okay...." he let it play.

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

You stare forward. The ride was only the beginning of the long day ahead of you. 'I would find a way.'
