Scott's POV:
When I woke up, I looked around and saw it was the next morning. I felt the panic rush in from the past month's worries, and I remembered that it was over. I sighed in relief. Then I remembered Mitch had asked me to be his boyfriend and I began to feel warm and fuzzy.
"Hey sleepy boy," I heard a man's high pitched voice beside me say loudly. I jumped a little, but immediately calmed down when I realized it was just Mitch. After a few weeks of not seeing him, his sudden appearance back in my life made me feel overwhelmed with happiness. I looked over and saw Mitch's head looking up at me, the rest of his body under the covers. I smirked and realized that he somehow got me in my bed from the previous night when we were on the couch. I also took note that he got in my bed too, something new and sudden which also made me very happy.
"What's up daddy," I said in my raspy morning voice to Mitch. He bit his lip and I laughed, the sleep slowly fading from my voice. I stretched my arms, hitting my right hand on the wooden headboard of my bed.
"Nice going, Scott," I said to myself, and Mitch laughed. His laughter was cheerful and fluttery. It was contagious, and I laughed with him.
"Silly boy," Mitch whispered as he got out of bed. I saw he was only wearing boxers and almost let out a strange noise. Yes, we were boyfriends and yes, we loved each other, but the sudden closeness was something I needed to get used to. It was the best kind of thing to get used to, though. A person by my side, there to comfort me and laugh with me. Finally, Mitch was mine. My thoughts drifted around and I caught one of them. I saw a sudden flash of Alex.
The last person I dated on a serious level was Alex, and that was years ago. This sudden closeness is especially new since it's Mitch, my best friend. New, but so right in so many ways, I thought as Mitch pulled on his gray sweatpants.
"You like what you see?" Mitch said confidently, and I shivered in happiness. I decided to not answer, but rather just smile and get out of bed. I looked down and saw I was still wearing the same clothes I had worn the previous day. I shrugged, and snuck behind Mitch while his head was facing one of my nightstands. I hugged his small waist and kissed his neck softly.
"I'm so glad you're finally mine," I said, my voice low and quiet. I gave him another small kiss, this time, on his jawline. Ouch, I thought, smiling as I thought of a stupid joke that floats around the pentaholics. Mitchy's sharp and defined jawline has cut a small part of my lip. I must seek medical attention... Wow that was a bad joke.
I popped back into reality to hear Mitch's response to what I said.
"Me too. Now our scömìche jokes and sexual references can be... a lot more genuine," Mitch said, innocently. He looked up at me, his brown eyes gleaming. He looked so alive, much different than how he had looked when he was being controlled by the science guy's toxic horse concoction.
"I love you Mitchy," I said, kissing the top of his head.
"I love you too, you big blue-eyed noodle."
