Chapter 7: Misunderstanding

                No one's POV

Arashi had been in the room she shared with her boyfriend of 2 months, she and Kenpachi had grown close and she trusted him with near all the fiber in her being. That's why she trusted him to go out drinking with Shunsui and a few other captains, she knew if something happened that one of the other captains would tell her.

              Kenpachi POV

I can't wait for this damn thing to be over with, the only guy here that isn't a light weight is Shunsui. "Heads up Zaraki, cute blonde is sizing you up." I looked at Shunsui and rolled my eye, glancing back as I notice the blonde he spoke of approaching me. She looked like a skank, the closer she got the stronger her cheap perfume got. "Hey there handsome." I growled at her, shooting a harsh glare at her. "Piss off." She giggled, she fucking giggled at me! Is she stupid?! "Don't be that way honey, if you're having such a bad night then let me take care of it." I rolled my eye and pushed her away, she had her arm wrapped around mine as she pressed against me. "I'm not interested."

                   Arashi POV

I had been in my room doing laundry when Rangiku came running in, she looked upset. "Arashi you need to see this." I followed her as she lead me to the bar, I was confused as I followed her inside. My heart stopped, there in a booth a woman was kissing Kenpachi. As Shunsui went to stand I ran out, I saw him glance back as I ran off. I can't believe this! Everything inside me hurts, it wasn't long before I had finally made it back to the bedroom. I know he will be back eventually but for now I need to think, I know what I saw but...I don't know what to think. 'Relax kid, wait to hear what he says and ask some of the other captains. Don't jump to conclusions.' I took a deep breath, Oni was right. Though that didn't stop my tears.

                Kenpachi POV

I shoved the woman on the ground, growling when I saw Arashi run off. "Can you not take no for an answer!? I don't want your fake ass!" I yelled at her and stood, watching her scramble off. Thankfully Ikkaku had been there drinking Yumichika and he saw everything, I just hope she wasn't too far gone to give me a chance to explain. "Ikkaku, Yumichika come with me. I need to find Arashi." With their help I had found her in our room, I was quiet as I approached her. She sat in the futon with her head down, for once I was at a lost. "Look...Princess it wasn't what you think..." I watched as she looked up at me, her once bright onyx eyes were now dull and blood shot. "Tell me what I think..." Her words caught me off guard, I glanced back at the guys who stood at the door. I sighed and kneeled down in front of her, going on instinct I rested my hand in her cheek. God this was embarrassing and if we make it past this she will owe me big time.

                    Arashi POV

I blushed a bit, it may not seem like it but this position was pretty intimate for us. "Look princess, I wouldn't just go and cheat on you. Unlike that pineapple bastard I have honor, I had turned her down over and over but she wouldn't leave. If you don't believe me ask the idiots behind me or the captains that were at the bar, you're my woman and I aint gonna do something to jeopardize that." I glanced at my father and Yumi, both giving me reassuring looks as I smiled and hugged Kenpachi tightly. "I'm sorry for ever doubting you Kenny." I could feel his body shake as he chuckled, I nuzzled him as his large arms wrapped around me and pulled me close. From the corner of my eye I saw my father and Yumi leave, closing the door behind them. "Hey princess I wanna do something with you, I want to show you just how much I love you." I felt my face heat up, that was the first time I've ever heard him use the word love. I understood what he was asking, I bit my lip nervously and gave him a hesitant nod.
