I slowly woke up, tears streaming down my face, and my muscles sore from being cramped up in that little closet all night.

Today was the day. The day I would escape from all of my problems, hopefully for good.

Thankfully, Derek left the closet door unlocked, allowing me to escape. I looked out the window and as soon as I realized that Derek's work truck was gone, my plan was put into action.

I ran to our room and packed all of my belongings and put the $50,000 I had been saving since I was a child into a plastic baggy and into my purse, making sure to keep it close.

After I was all packed, I ran out to Derek's black pickup truck and removed the license plates, replacing them with the new ones that I had already gotten registered.

As soon as everything was done, I hit the road. And as terrified as I was, I also felt a wave of relief course through my body from finally escaping my old, messed up, somber little life.

When I reached the end of the street, I typed in the address to my new apartment in LA into my GPS. I had called the landlord about a month ago and set everything up so that my apartment would be ready for my arrival.

After about an hour of driving, I decided to stop at a Starbucks. After all, it was only 8:00 in the morning.

I decided to get my usual, and prayed that it would be quick. I needed to be as far away from here as possible when Derek got home and realized that I had run away.

When I walked into the small cafe luckily the line was short and there were only about 2 people ahead of me. When it was finally my turn, I approached the counter to see a boy, about my age, with Jett black hair and piercing blue eyes. I read his name tag, Tony. I'm not going to lie, he was very handsome.

"What can I get for you beautiful?" Tony said with a wink. Great. "I'll have a tall green tea frappachino" I replied with no emotion in my voice, what so ever.

I'm used to guys constantly flirting with me, but I'm not some typical thirsty chick. I absolutely despise it when men flirt with me.

"Anything for you gorgeous. Can I get a name?" Tony asked, completely oblivious of my lack of interest in him "my name is Daisy" I said coldly, trying to get my point across.

"Ah, such a pretty name for such a pretty girl. That'll be $3.75" and without a word, I payed and walked away to wait for my drink, so I could get the hell out of here.

As I sat an waited for my drink, I started to think of everything that would eventually go wrong with my little plan.

I won't make it out in time.

Everyone in LA will hate me and I will just be alone again.

Derek will find me.

And the worst one of all, he will kill me.

I have no doubt in my mind that If he finds me, he will kill me without the slightest bit of hesitation.

And that's the worst part of this whole thing, is knowing that somebody wants you dead. And there's nothing that I, or anyone else can do to stop it.

I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts and back into reality when Tony called my name. I walked up to the counter to get my drink and noticed that Tony had a smug little smile playing on his lips. I just rolled my eyes and grabbed my drink mumbling a 'thanks' and left.

As I was walking back out to my truck, I realized that Tony had written his number on my cup with a heart and a winkey face. I scoffed at the idea of him actually expecting me to call and got into my truck and continued driving.
