Chapter 20: Shopping

Daisy's P.O.V

After I got back from my hike, it was 5am. I went back into my room and got out the letter Joey had written to me. I sat on my bed and read it over and over again. It meant the world to me. Nobody had ever taken their time to write their feelings on paper for me. It was my most valuable possession.

After I read it 15 times, I started thinking. And when ever I thought about anything, it wasn't good. I decided to take a hot shower to help relieve some of my stress.

After I got out, I got dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a green t-shirt. I really need new clothes. I went back into the bathroom and did my make up while my hair dried.

I had to use concealer, as always, to cover the black rings under my eyes from my lack of sleep. After I finished with that, I put on powder and blush, and did my eye liner and mascara. I finished off with Chapstick, and then started with my hair. I decided to leave it in lose curls today. I got my purse and keys, and just as I was about to walk out my door, my phone rang. It was Tyler.

Me: "Hey Tyler"

Tyler: "Shanghai! What are you up to gurl?"

Me: "I was just leaving to go shopping"

Tyler: "Perfect. Come outside I'm here"

And with that, he hung up. Ok.....

I made it outside, and sure enough, Tyler was waiting for me. He rolled down his window "Get in loser! We're going shopping" he giggled "So now your quoting Regina George?" I asked as I laughed "The one and only!" He replied.

About 10 minutes later, we were at the mall and Tyler was dragging me into Forever 21. I didn't care though, it's my favorite store.

As soon as we got in, Tyler started pulling clothing off the racks and handing it to me "Tyler what are you doing?" I said with a giggle. "Here take this" he said as he handed me a dress "Your going to try these on"

"What? Why?" I asked as I looked at the enormous pile of clothing in my arms "We are having a little fashion show!" Tyler cheered.

We then headed over to the men's section and he started picking out clothing for himself. As soon as we finished, it was off to the dressing room. We decided to change into each outfit, and come out at the same time.

My first outfit, was a black skater dress that was covered in little white flowers. I put it on, and I loved it. It fit perfectly. "Ready?" I hear Tyler say "Ready!" And we both opened our doors and laughed.

Tyler was wearing black skinny jeans and a graphic sweater with Mickey Mouse on it. "Shoot gurl! You lookin good!" He cheared. "Not to bad yourself" I responded.

We started dancing around awkwardly to the music that was playing throughout the store. I notice a lady who worked here watching us, but I just brushed it off.

After we tried on all of our outfits, we headed to the register. I decided to get everything that I had tried on. Tyler had an amazing sense of style!

When we got to the register, I noticed that the same lady who was watching me before, was waiting at the counter. "Hello" I said as I put my stuff on the counter.

"Hi, my name is Lori. I'm the manager of display here at Forever 21, and I noticed you in the dressing rooms. You are a very beautiful young woman and I think you have potential. I would like to offer you a job as one of our models" she said. I was speechless.

"She'll do it!" Tyler answered for me "Great. We would like you to come in on Monday for a test shoot, and if that goes well, you will be offered a part time job as a model, and you will have 4 photo shoots a week. Each shoot pays $700. Be here at 8:00 am on Monday. I look forward to seeing you"

I was at a loss for words so I just nodded, and she walked away. Today was Saturday, I had one day.

"O M G !" Tyler yelled "What the heck just happened?!" I yelled with excitement. I have never had a job before. "You are going to be a model!" Tyler squealed. "Yeah if it goes well on Monday" I mumbled "IT WILL!" Tyler assured me.

We checked out and walked back to Tyler's car with our bags and he drove me home "Bye Tyler. I had a lot of fun thank you!"

"No problem girl!" He shouted out the window as he drove off. When I got up to my apartment, it was 6:00pm. We had been at the mall for a long time. I fed Rocco, and got something small to eat.

I wasn't really eating normally again yet, but at least I was eating. I sat down and watched some tv while I ate my apple. I watched a few re-runs of friends and when I finished, I went and showered.

After my shower, I got changed into some pajamas and put my hair in a messy bun. I sat on my bed with my laptop, and looked for a movie on Netflix. I decided on 'The Vow' and of course, ended up crying. When I finished with the movie, I decided to try and get some sleep.

Big mistake.
