"What is your favorite color?" Mila asked, her footsteps in rhythm with Lakshman's as they strolled through the vibrant gardens of Mithila. The anticipation was palpable, with just two days remaining until their eagerly awaited wedding.
"Why are you asking this all of a sudden?" Laksh questioned, his curiosity piqued.
Urmila took a moment to reflect before answering with a mischievous grin, "Hmm, I must have guessed it before; it surely must be red!" She smiled, her eyes filled with a playful sparkle.
"And why's that?" a bemused Lakshman inquired, his gaze fixed on her.
"You want to know?" Urmila moved a little further away from him, a hint of coyness in her demeanor. He blushed but nodded eagerly. She continued with a teasing tone, "It's because your face turns all red when you're angry, and I know how much you love to be angry!" Urmila couldn't help but giggle.
"What?" Lakshman stood there, stunned by her insight.
"You see," she gently touched the tip of his nose, "See, it's right here, seated!"
With a playful twirl, she ran off, calling out, "You are far more mischievous than I had ever imagined. Well, you may know me, but you don't really know me!" He gave chase, laughing as he went, "Catch me if you can! I am a son of these hills."
"And I am a warrior, don't forget that, my dear!" He called out with a playful grin, determined to catch her.
"I'm a warrior too!" Urmila turned back, her playful annoyance clear, and she shouted with spirited defiance.
"Okay, yes, yes, you too."
The whole atmosphere was filled with their joyous laughter and the exuberance of youth. He finally caught her, and she playfully covered her eyes, saying, "No! Even Pitaji has never been able to catch me up here." She pouted, and he lightly pinched her cheek, a tender gesture of affection.
"Sumitranandan, I am not some five-year-old girl!" Urmila's annoyance was now softened by her love.
"Look at yourself; you're not even a grown woman," he playfully retorted, his heart filled with adoration.
"You don't know me!" She shouted, her voice echoing through the hills, but her laughter gave away the depth of their connection, leaving no doubt that they were deeply intertwined souls ready to embark on a lifelong journey together.
