I opened my locker, putting in the books I was currently carrying and taking out my books for English/Literature class, before slamming the door shut with a loud bang.
Suddenly, I heard loud shouts and calls and spun around to see none other than Norah Parker running down the corridor, Braden sprinting after her with a wicked smile on his face.
And, I don't know why, but my arm suddenly snaked it's way around Ella's small waist, making me feel awkward and uncomfortable as she's so small compared to my height yet I felt I had to do it somehow.
I felt her hand move and she shifted, rubbing her chest against my arm and pressing herself into me, one hand lying across my chest.
I saw Braden quickly jump forward and grasp Norah's wrist, causing her to stop and spin around to face him.
He looked down at her, a cheeky look in his eyes and leant down, whispering softly in her ear.
She shook her head and was about to run off when Braden jerked her back, planting a big one on her lips.
Ugh.
My stomach churned at the disgusting scene.
"Oh my god, like, get, like, a, like, room! Like, can anyone say, like, gross?" I heard a blonde next to me say. She flipped her perfect blonde hair over her shoulder and marched off in disgust.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Braden in front of me. Ella and I dropped our holds on each other and Braden gave me a high-five, his face looking flushed and excited.
Norah rolled her eyes and sighed tiredly in a mocking way.
She was back in her usual attire, no make-up, baggy clothing, etc.
The sun filtering through the blinds near the window that we were standing at, shone and highlighted her hair making it dance in my eyes.
And now that I know what her body looks like, I've started to notice things that I missed before. A lot of things. Like the way that, although she covers herself up with so many layers, you can still see the curve and outline of her slender body. And in those baggy jeans, you can still see some of the material sticking to her slim legs. It's so funny though, when she tries to hide her chest area with baggy sweaters, all she's doing is accentuating the fact that she has something to hide.
My gaze lifted to where I saw her running her hands through her hair, slender fingers brushing lightly through the strands.
I locked my eyes with hers and today, I saw a very unusual brightness glimmering in the heat of those hazel pools.
I'm guessing the reason because of that is due to Braden and what came out of his mouth just then.
And I felt hurt by it, I don't know why.
Or maybe I felt hurt because of the whopping bruise I have, planted nicely on my leg thanks to a certain incident four days ago in Sports…
"We're going to the Winter dance together this year!" he announced proudly in front of everyone.
They all stared, shocked at him.
Even me.
"Really?! Wow, well that is so cool! Norah, I was wondering if Braden was ever going to ask you. Of course, I was already asked. By whom? None other than my lover, Dante!" I heard Ella squeal lightly. I was going to take a step back but she was gripping onto me too hard.
I nodded, wordlessly.
Fuck, I made no such thing like that with her. Jesus, the Winter dance is still two months away and already, they've gotten a date.
