Norah;
"That movie was one of the most awful ones that I have ever seen before in my entire life." I announced, shortly after the movie that Wes, Jenna and I had been watching, finished.
"Yeah, it was really bad." Jenna chimed in, helping herself to a handful of popcorn out of the blue plastic bowl.
"It was not awful, it was awesome!" Wes declared indignantly at the two of us a frown on his lips.
I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head. That boy is one hopeless case.
"You guys are just impossible. This movie had loads of good ole' action. Unlike one of your desperate, romance, chick-flicks." he retorted.
I gaped at him just as Jenna started to say, "Oh no you didn't!-"
However, we were interrupted, just before mine and Jenna's mini-rant could even start, by a knock.
"It's open!" Wes shouted, his glaring eyes never wavering from Jenna's strong glowering gaze.
I was too busy watching the two with amusement to notice who was coming in through the door.
Der, I couldn't tear my eyes away if I tried.
Although Jenna's pretty insecure about Wes liking her back, it's completely obvious he does.
I can't believe how I didn't see it before. I guess I never really thought about the two of them holding an attraction for each other.
Now I'm slightly aware of the fact, it's really easy to see.
In fact, if you look closely at Wes' eyes, you can faintly see a glimmer of fondness. A fondness that indicates a little more than friendship…
They are truly dense people.
Look who's talking!
Wha-?
Don't you find that statement a little ironic?
No…
Psh. You REALLY don't know anything.
Oh yeah? How would you know then?
I'm your inner conscience. I'm meant to know.
Now you've completely lost me.
Says you.
…
"Um, sorry, is this dorm 31?" a small voice asked and I turned my head to face the person standing in the doorway, peering nervously around. His eyes locked onto mine and he gave me a small inquiring smile.
I studied the guy.
Thick, chestnut brown locks with extremely blue eyes and quite tanned skin. He had a lean and lithe body, very tall kind of guy. He didn't look all that bad, I suppose. Quite cute in a small boy kind of way. A blue polo shirt adorning the upper half of his body brought out the blueness in his eyes. Coupled with a pair of darker blue jeans and a black watch strapped around his wrist.
He seemed a bit…plain though at the same time.
"Uh...yeah." I suddenly heard Jenna say, her voice a little quiet.
I looked at her with raised eyebrows to see her smiling in a very friendly way to the boy. I don't know if anyone recognized it but I certainly noticed that her smile was just the tiniest bit forced. Sure, it was pretty genuine but you could feel these annoyance waves coming off of her.
It's actually kind of funny.
Cute Guy just nodded his head in acknowledgement before glancing around the apartment.
