I could hear Bella's screams of pain and Owens hushed comforts through my closed door. My heart tugged, knowing I was the cause of her pain. Both mental and physical.
I tossed and turned on my bed trying to block out the noise from the room next to mine. I huffed and sit up, swinging my legs over the edge. I pushed myself up and clomped to the room she was in.
As soon as I pushed open the door her screams increased, this time with fear, not pain. I glared at her. Her green eyes were pinched shut, her face red and mouth forming a wide 'O'with a high pitched scream coming out.
I sighed and walked over to her lying form. I clapped a hand over her mouth making her screams slowly die off. Her fear quickly became replaced with anger and a glare found its way onto her face.
She mumbled into my hand and then bit down on it before I knew what she had said.
I pulled back my hand. "Ow! What the heck was that for?"
"You had your hand on my mouth! I told you to move it and you didn't," she grumbled.
"I couldn't understand you!" I defended.
She shrugged in an uncaring manner, "Not my problem. You shouldn't have touched me."
"That's it," I growled. "You will not disrespect me in my own home!" I grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to wrap my arm around her waist. I pulled her up and threw her over my shoulder, ignoring her cries of pain.
I stomped her out of the medical room and into the room she first woke up in. I took her off my shoulder and threw her onto the bed. She bounced and let out a cry. "You are going to stay here until you heal and then you are going back. I refuse to be disrespected in my own home! You are going to be here for months, you best learn respect." I turned my back on her and stomped to the door.
"I'm not going to live with a Beast," she shouted at my back. "You nearly killed a child. Why should I trust that you won't kill me?"
I slammed the door shut behind me and went to find Owen.
"She's impossible," I spat out when I found him in my library. "She's stubborn and rude and doesn't listen to a thing I say!"
Owen smiled at me and chuckled lightly. "Oh, so she's a female you?"
"Not a fair! I listen to everything you say-"
"And then do what you want to anyway," he interrupted.
"And I'm not stubborn-" I continued.
"And yet we are still having this argument," Owen interrupted again.
"Will you shut up?" I growled and him. "Let me finish before you speak."
Owen doubled over laughing, "And there is the rude. The reason you two fight constantly is because you are practically the same person." Owen chuckled again, "I always knew you only loved yourself."
I suddenly became serious while looking at Owen's still laughing face. "Why aren't you fighting for her?"
He paused and looked at me his eyes guarded, "What do you mean?"
"You told me you love her. Why aren't you fighting for her? Her and I aren't very compatible. Maybe she would return your love."
Owen sighed and hung his head into his hand, resting his elbows on his knees. "It's not that simple. You think she can break your curse. I can't take that opportunity from you."
"But what about before me? Why didn't you tell her then?"
Owen shrugged his shoulders, "She had Aaron."
I frowned sourly at the mention of him. "I don't like that guy."
He shrugged. "Get over it."
I sat down and buried my hands in my hair. "Will you go check on her? I haven't heard any noise from her room since I came in here."
I sighed but got up to do as I wished.
