The portal led us back to the two paintings in the small room. We ran all the way down the stairs and entered another portal. This one lead back to the two larger mirrors. Thunder boomed loudly as Dante handed the Elixir to Vergil.
"I'll return in 5 minutes." I nodded and he jumped through the painting with the bedroom.
Dante picked me up and devil triggered, flying to the other side of the broken bridge. Once we were on the other side, he put me down and smiled. I frowned and turned around, heading to the the large doors.
"Turn back. It's creepy when you smile while you're like that." I heard him de-trigger and run up to me. I opened the door, ignoring his complaints about my statement. I walked to one of the pillars, slid down on my back on it and sat down. I sighed, looking around at the room. Dante sat next to me and smiled.
"Better?" I nodded. "Since you're half demon, why can't you devil trigger?" He asked. I turned to look at him and shrugged.
"I don't know. I just never tried." I replied quietly. I stayed quiet, hoping that he would drop the subject but he pressed on, to my distain.
"Why not? You should-" I stood up, walked a few feet from where I was sitting and turned around, facing him.
"Do you really want to know? Is it really that important to you Dante?" I shout, throwing my hands in the air in defeat. "Here let me show you." I started to gather my demonic energy when a hand was placed on my shoulder, easing my anger. I turned around to see Vergil standing behind me with a stern expression. It wasn't directed at me for he was staring at Dante.
"I've already told you once. Do you want me to drill it into your thick skull for you?" He said angrily. "She'll bleed." Dante sighed and stood up.
"Sorry. Forgot." He gestured to the puddle of water. "Shall we?" Vergil grabbed my hand, walked to the puddle and jumped in. We ended up in limbo, but we were on the ceiling of the room we were just in. Vergil walked me to the entrance of a portal and placed a stone in a small opening. The clear gate over the portal disappeared and we waited for Dante. It took him a few minutes, but he eventually made it down. He smiled at me and walked backwards into the portal.
"See you on the other side." He said, falling into the portal. Vergil sighed and turned to me.
"Over dramatic." I whispered quietly, earning me a chuckle. He pulled a paper out of his pocket and muttered something. I looked at the paper and got confused. It was in some language that I couldn't understand.
He lifted his sword and muttered something again. He put the paper down and handed me his sword.
"Don't let this sword leave your side, do you understand?" I nod in confusion, not really understanding why he gave me his only weapon. As if he read my mind, a pair of gauntlets and and boots appeared on him.
"It's okay." He smiled and we jumped in.
Sorry for a very late update. I've been busy.
