I landed on the hard ground and cringed. I held on to Yamato tightly as I looked at my surroundings. The walls seemed to pulse alive with red, vein-like indentations and the ground was warm as if a fire was lit beneath it. I stood and saw Vergil at what looked like a doorway holding out his hand. I walked over and grabbed his hand. He pulled me up and headed towards Dante. I treaded slowly, being careful of my surroundings.
We made it to a pulsing wall of skin and Dante turned to me.
"You better put that sword to good use. It's not just for display." I cocked an eyebrow, questioning his words.
"You mean right now?" He grinned and sliced the skin wall open, revealing three Frosts. He grabbed my hand and pushed me into the room.
Third POV
"Dante you fool! You're going to get her killed!" Vergil shouted at his brother, anger clear in his eyes. He went to get her, but Dante stopped him.
"She knows how to use the sword." He commented with all seriousness. "It was you who placed the curse on the pendant anyway." Vergil looked at the girl, who was steadily fighting the demons.
"It's not a curse. It's a protection spell with part of my soul. I placed it on the amulet before I passed out." He replied quietly. Dante nodded in understanding and looked at Alec. He froze and ran to her.
The sword had left her hand and she had fallen. Vergil got to her faster, using his telepotation powers, and cursed under his breath.
"I told her not to let go of it." He muttered, pulling her into his lap. Dante knelt down and motioned his brother to move, which he gladly accepted. After looking around, he finally found the pendant, which had fallen off after she fell and put it around her neck.
"She didn't let go of it on purpose." Dante said, standing up. "She dropped it because she passed out." He grabbed the sword, sheathed it and handed it to his brother.
Vergil picked Alec up and followed Dante.
